The New Year is finally here, so it's time for me to make some beauty resolutions. I've learned that beauty resolutions are more than just trying to look good; they are also about taking better care of yourself so that you are beautiful form the inside out. This year, I am going to make a conscious effort to take better care of my hair, skin and body so that I look and feel good.
Beauty Resolution #1: Wear Sunscreen
I hate to admit it, but I never used to wear sunscreen. I also frequented the tanning beds quite often to achieve that sun-kissed glow I so desired. But I've finally realized that not protecting your skin from the sun can do so much damage to it. In addition to getting skin cancer, exposing your skin to the sun can lead to sun spots, dry skin and premature wrinkles. I'm only 24, so I want my skin to continue to look young and healthy for years to come. I plan to wear sunscreen on my skin whenever I will be out in the sun for long periods of time this year.
Beauty Resolution #2: Exercise More Regularly
This year, I definitely plan to exercise at least four to five days a week at the gym. I want my body to stay thin and toned, and exercise will certainly help me achieve that. In addition to helping me maintain my weight, exercise also puts me in a better mood and energizes me. I know that if I do workouts I enjoy, such as Zumba and biking, I will keep up with them.
Beauty Resolution #3: Be Nicer to My Hair
I haven't been so nice to my hair in recent years. I have bleached it, straightened it and even brushed it when it was wet. This year, I plan to be a lot kinder to my hair so that it gets healthier. I plan to stop using my flat-iron so much and wait longer between dye jobs. I also want to wash my hair less often because shampooing too much isn't healthy for hair.
