True blush. Makeup artist Dick Page described these flushed cheeks as "how you want to look if you've been skiing, in a hot tub, or having very good sex." We can get on board with that. Use a white triangle sponge to blend a red cream blush or lipstick (Page used Shiseido Lacquer Rouge in Drama) from the widest part of the cheeks down to the jawline in a chevron shape.

Dark, romantic lips. All you need to be on trend all season long is one tube of dark cherry red lipstick. "It's a modern kind of romantic-slightly ethereal and strong," says makeup artist Pat McGrath, who used CoverGirl Queen Collection Lipstick in Fine Wine followed by CoverGirl Lip Perfection in Hot for this sexy look. Add a stroke of mascara and you're done.

Undone updos. Leave the strong-hold hair spray at home. This season, "it's about looking very young, a bit romantic, and rough," says hairstylist Odile Gilbert, describing the imperfect twists at Suno. Work a texturizing mousse through the hair and part it to one side before twisting pieces of it back into a chignon. Keep roping pieces around each other and pinning them in place until you achieve a chignon shape at the nape of the neck. "Don't think, just do," Odile says.
