1. JUMP-START RESULTS WITH A PRO PEEL OR LASER SERIES
New York City dermatologist Eric Schweiger's new Clear Clinic (pictured) takes on blemishes with everything from a series of derm-prescribed salicylic acid peels to bacteria-killing blue-light therapy sessions. (Also on the menu: spot-shrinking emergency cortisone injections.)
A series of Clear + Brilliant Permea laser treatments "cleans up both sun-induced and hormonal pigmentation on the face with very little downtime. Usually no more than three hours of post-procedure redness," says dermatologist Fredric Brandt, M.D., who uses the fractional energy device at his New York City and Miami practices.

It's safe to say that vanity inspires its fair share of New Year's beauty resolutions-no more chipped pedicures! No more split ends! No more falling asleep with your mascara on!-but here's the problem with daunting promises and mile-long lists: They're no fun. This year, we have a suggestion. Why not streamline your efforts in the service of one simple goal instead? Supernaturally fresh skin-the kind spotted on runways from Balmain to Balenciaga-looks as smart with spring's cool suits and graphic shifts as it does with a stroke of colorful eyeliner, a Prada red lip, or a choppy, jaw-grazing bob. And if you stick to a few gloriously simple missives, it can be yours in 2013.
