The done-but-undone low knot at Michael Kors was about "sporty American royalty couples," said hairstylist Orlando Pita. "Maybe Clark Gable and Carole Lombard or JFK Jr. and Carolyn Bessette." First, he blew the hair out straight. Then, using a rattail comb, he created a side part and, working from the bottom up, teased all the hair, going section by section in the back and along the sides for roughed-up texture. Next, he raked all the hair down low at the nape of the neck and secured it with an elastic, then tied a knot with the tail, leaving the ends hanging out.
