We've always had a thing for British culture. Check out these lust-worthy brands from …
Between the Diamond Jubilee, the London Olympics, and ongoing Kate and Wills mania, there hasn't been such lust for British culture on our side of the pond since the Beatles invaded in 1964. It truly is the summer of the Brits. On the beauty front, our colonizers are known for two distinct styles: English rose ala Kate Middleton or trendy rocker (a descendent of the punk styles of the '70s) ala Kate Moss. Our favorite British brands epitomize the two personalities perfectly. We'll see you at tea. Cheerio!
This newcomer to the states has been around since 1999 in the UK and first gained attention when Kylie Minogue revealed she was a fan. We love how ingrained in iconic British culture the brand is: their mascaras and eyeliners are inspired by British supermodel Twiggy and Mod fashion; founders Max and Nina Leykind live on Abbey Road; the Eyeko logo is a nod to British coats of arms. More importantly we can't live without their smudgy Fat Eye Sticks and precise Skinny Liquid Eyeliner.

When it comes to experimenting with trends, the English are always pushing the envelope. Such is the case with Zoe Pocock and Charlotte Straughan who started Rock Cosmetics in 2010 after meeting backstage at a London fashion show. Whether we're wearing their trendy patterned Nail Rock nail stickers or their Eye Rock eyeliner appliques, our cool factor increases exponentially. Not only are they leading the charge on the stick-on makeup trend, they're doing it in style.
Any English rose knows that great skin is the most important part of her beauty routine and facialist Eve Lom is the queen of great skin. Launched over 25 years ago, Lom's eponymous line has become a cult brand renowned for it's Cleansing Balm and lauded by editors everywhere. The oil-based balm was way ahead of it's time and puts to shame over-drying cleansers everywhere. Plus, the cleansing ritual Lom recommends will turn bedtime into spa-time.

SOAP & GLORY:
If you've heard the cheeky names associated with our favorite Soap & Glory products (Sexy Mother Pucker lip plumper, anyone?), you won't be surprised to find out founder Marcia Kilgore was behind another very sassy company: Bliss Spa! The Canadian native (and rockstar entrepreneur) moved to London to launch S&G and the rest is cute-packaging history. We already mentioned their blush-inducing lip plumper but we're also partial to the Flake Away Body Polish and The Righteous Butter Body Butter.
We love discovering new fragrances at Birchbox but we always come back to the classics. With scents like Pomegranate Noir, French Lime Blossom, and Wild Fig & Cassis you know you're going to love a Jo Malone fragrance for life. They're sophisticated in their simplicity but the company also makes suggestions for combining your favorites for a truly signature fragrance. Our Editorial Director always has a bottle of Pomegranate Noir on her desk for spritzing before evening events, which should tell you just how chic it is. We would be remiss if we didn't mention their to-die-for home fragrance and body care as well.
