Smoky Lash Mascara in Dark Blue, and Kohl Pencil in Pearly Deep Blue
As a brown-eyed girl, I never thought that I could venture beyond the boring tones of brown and black for anything eye-related. Brown eyeliner for daytime, black for a night out on the town, maybe a gray if I was feeling adventuresome. But then the world of beauty enlightened me-I could pull off other colors!
My favorite look of the moment? Blue. A look that I previously thought could be worn only by those with eyes of the color, I realized that I could, in fact, rock those blues just as well as my light-eyed friends. A dash of navy liner across the top lid with blue mascara is a great daytime look, and a little gray-blue shadow with blue kohl becomes perfect for the night-and it doesn't come with the heaviness that black liner often creates. Navy blue works well for a darker effect, and purply blues tend to bring out other flecks of color that I didn't even know my eyes held. For a blue smoky eye, for example, try a baby-blue base with a swipe of navy across the crease and in the outer corner. Really, options are endless!
