Adele. There's nude nail polish. And then there's nude nail polish on Adele. Or more specifically, on Adele's awesome long pointy nails. "Her nails are filed to be really narrow, which makes the pointy tip look even cooler," says manicurist Kimmie Kyees of Sally Hansen, adding "she wanted something classic and beautiful-it's different than what she normally does, but it is the Oscars." Kyees created the peachy nude by layering Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Almost Almond over Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Fast Dry Nail Color in Quick Sand. "It looks more like foundation than a nude polish," said Keyes. "I love peachy nudes for fair skin and orange-y nudes for darker complexions."

"I never know what a client will want to wear on their nails before the Oscars, so I always bring with me my entire kit-over 200 colors," says manicurist Jenna Hipp who painted Amy Adams's neutral, highlighted manicure. (Yup, highlighted! Deets below.) "I usually test four or five options on my client's nails and have her hold it up to the dress as well as her makeup. This time, Amy knew right away and pointed to her pinky finger…a deeper than her skin tone, sheer rose." Here, the secret to that highlighted nail-and our favorite Oscar manicures.
