Sexy hair, makeup and accessory suggestions to make him drool on your special date!
Congrats! You secured a really hot date for Valentine's Day. Now comes the hard part: what do you wear on the hottest date night of the year?
Take it from us, you can't go wrong in a sexy little LBD. But, you'll triple the lust-factor of your look by paying attention to the details like your hair, makeup and accessories. According to Whitney Casey, Match.com's Relationship Insider and Love Advisor, the choices you make when it comes to your nail color, lip gloss and fragrance can relay a lot about you to a man-and not all of it is good.
This Valentine's Day, avoid the beauty pitfalls that turn men off by copying these 8 sexy celeb-inspired looks hand-picked by Whitney. Get ready to knock the socks of your V-Day date!
1. Show off your décolletage
"The body part that men say they love the most-it's actually called décolettage, but they never know what the heck that is-but they say the neck area, the collar bone," says Whitney. "It's not the cleavage, it's this area that, by the way, looks good on everyone."
Take a cue from Sofia Vergara's SAG Awards look and opt for a strapless dress or blouse that shows off your arms, shoulders and décolettage. "Don't wear a lot of jewelry around your neck, and no scarves," Whitney adds.
2. Try a messy up-do
"Keep your hair swept back," suggests Whitney for a perfect, effortless-looking date night 'do. "It's not a ponytail, but a messier up-do that looks like he can still run his fingers through it."
George Clooney's arm candy, Stacy Keibler, has perfected this look for award season. At the SAG Awards and the Golden Globes, she rocked flowy curls that were pinned up in the back so her decolletage was in full view for her silver fox. 11 Sexy Golden Globes Looks You Can Steal For Date Night [PHOTOS]
3. Get really kissable lips
Lip gloss lovers and red lip addicts, beware. Your favorite lipsticks may not be well-suited for your Valentine's Day date.
"Anything that has that high, super sticky gloss looks like a fly trap. It's almost intimidating to get near," warns Whitney. "Reds looks great on the red carpet and look beautiful in photographs, but men hate red lipstick! It's not okay, it looks crazy to them."
Take a cue from Ashley Greene and add a subtle color to your lips to give them definition and a kissable, come-hither appeal.
4. Rock a smoky eye
At the L.A. premiere of The Vow on Monday night, Rachel McAdams rocked a seriously smoky eye that we love for date night!
"The best eye makeup looks like you just woke up with your eye makeup still on," says Whitney. "It's the sultry, sexy makeup that only works for nighttime, not for daytime. Think of a smoky eye that doesn't look like you've been punched in the eye, that's what I'm talking about."

5. Tone down your nail color
Right now, we all can't get enough of dark gray, brown, green and blue nail colors. But, that doesn't mean our dates feel the same!
"These are not colors that men understand. They think you're emo or goth. They don't sit there and read Vogue and know all women are wearing it, they just know it doesn't look feminine," says Whitney.
We loved Jennifer Carpenter's light and natural nail color on the SAG Awards red carpet paired with her red lace dress. Neutral polishes like hers, or reds and pinks are fail-proof shades for date night.
6. Pick one or two key accessories
Glee star Lea Michele's bracelets and clutch matched perfectly with her silver SAG Awards gown, but they weren't enough to distract from her look, which is important to remember when getting ready for your date.
"Earrings and a necklace that match date you by ten years, so pick one or the other, don't do both," advises Whitney. "You can wear one bracelet, but any that make a cacophony of noises-bangles, charm bracelets-are just very distracting. It's like you're bringing along a band with you on your date."
Whitney also advises against statement necklaces and anything that dangles down into your cleavage. Bottom line, simplicity is key when it comes to accessories.
7. Smell like a cookie
"Steer clear of the flowery scents-gardenia, rose, hydrangea-we're all very attracted to these as women, but those remind men of their grandmothers," says Whitney. "Men are very sensory-loaded with smells. We have better senses, but they are motivated by their senses way more."
Instead, take it from the Victoria's Secret gals and smell irresistible, like a cookie. "Stick to key notes like vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon, almond, and if those are too heavy for you, the only other option you have is citrus-based. They don't work as well on men as the cookie ones, but it's like a neutral," says Whitney.
8. Put your best foot forward in stilettos
If you're wondering what shoes to wear before you head out the door on February 14th, don't even think twice. When it comes to looking drop-dead sexy for your date, a la the master Jennifer Aniston (31 percent of men on Match want her as their V-Day date!), stilettos are a must.
"If you're going to put your best foot forward, it's going to be in a stiletto," says Whitney. "If you can't wear that, you better put on a wedge. If you can't wear that, you better see a doctor!" 10 Best Celebrity "Breakovers": Look How Hot They Got! [PHOTOS]
