    Tend to your nails first by stripping any old polish, filing, and moisturizing cuticles with oil. Apply base coat to help the paint job last longer and avoid dark shades staining the nail.

    Apply two coats of a neutral base coat, avoiding the cuticle as you go. Miss Pop recommends waiting four hours before showering (or better yet, a full day) since hot water encourages chipping and can cause the polish to shrink.

    After letting the neutral color fully dry, get started with glitter. Brush off as much polish as you can so there's very little on the brush and draw three strips. One should go all the way down to the cuticle, while the others are more graduated. After, make a U-shape with the brush across the tip from one side to the other. Finally, load the brush up with glitter and create a sparkly French tip.

    Switch to a glitter polish with chunkier pieces and follow the same shapes you've made with the finer polish. Miss Pop advises that the larger pieces can actually be moved via a fingertip, so if the brush deposits a large clump, don't be afraid to go in and manually rearrange them. Finish with a top coat!
