Peek in a Celeb Makeup Artist's Shopping Bag

After living in Los Angeles for close to a year, I've come to one conclusion: I want to be a makeup artist. They hang out with the hottest celebrities, travel the globe, and score all the best beauty goodies available. Did I mention it's often for free?

Cosmetic buff Carmindy Bowyer from "What Not to Wear" has certainly seen her fair share of free products, but what I really wanted to know is this: What products does she actually use on herself and spend her own hard-earned money on?

Thankfully (for me), she says a big bank roll is not necessary to get gorgeous (click here for all her savvy suggestions). Sure she has her splurges, but just like any normal girl she's always looking for a good deal.

To prove her point, she gave us a list of her favorite beauty buys from the drugstore. Clearer skin, poutier lips, and longer lashes for a minimal price tag -- I'm already leaving for the nearest Walgreen's (this gave me some awesome inspiration). Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser

"This is a product my dermatologist swears by. I started using it as a cleanser years ago. It really cuts through makeup easily." Click here to see the rest of her drugstore picks.

    Cristophe Professional Argan Oil Treatment

"After the shower, I put this oil just on the ends of my hair. It has the most delicious scent -- earthy, but sexy. It makes your hair smell good, but doesn't weigh it down. It works on all types of hair. Just one squirt, and magic." Go here to see all Carmindy's drugstore picks.

    Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara
"I've tried a lot of mascaras and this is my all-time favorite. It makes your lashes super long, super black, along with all those lash curling properties. I believe in less makeup, more impact. With this mascara, you put it on and that's all you need." Click here for all of her low-budget suggestions.

    Milani Crystal Gloss for Lips

"These lip glosses are to die for. Regular lipglosses tend to be watery, but these glosses have substance and sticks to your lips. I would say it lasts for at least six hours." Check out her favorite drugstore items here.
