The unwritten formula for Victoria's Secret hair is that it must be shiny, wavy, thick, soft, and long. "The women aren't supposed to look like dolls," says hairstylist Orlando Pita. "The appeal is that it's sexy but not impossible." That's the difference between Victoria's Secret and every other signifier of sexiness in our culture-Playboy bunnies, swimsuit-calendar models, football cheerleaders: "The hair at Victoria's Secret looks real," says hairstylist Oribe.
