Don't take this the wrong way. I love Shailene Woodley. She is an amazing actress and looked absolutely flawless in The Descendants. But that's the problem. We're now seeing her beauty go to waste. She continues to hide her killer body time and time again on the red carpet. For the screening of Red Lights in New York last week, she hid her slim figure in an overbearing plaid button-down that would have been too big on one-time co-star George Clooney.

Although the trend is supposed to appear casual, we admit it does require a little work to pull it off. If Shailene wanted to wear the wet hair trend right, all she had to do was look at Jenna Dewan and Cody Horn, who both showed up to the Magic Mike premiere looking sleek and sexy. Shailene may not have been on the red carpet with the hottest men in Hollywood like these two ladies, but we still think she could have used our advice:
Photos: Getty Images1. Make sure hair is not sopping wet.
If you can ring it out, you've failed. Towel drying is essential.
2. Never pair casual hair with casual clothing.
Either drop the wet hair look or the plaid button-down. Better yet, dress up the wet hair look with a structured pony. (See Jenna Dewan, right)
3. To pull off the wet hair trend, you need to apply products.
If not, your hair is just going to dry naturally...and you will no longer be sporting the wet hair trend.
