User post: Bacon Brownies For Your Super Bowl Party

When I read this recipe, I had to try it. Bacon in a brownie just sounded too interesting to pass up. The author of the recipe designed it so that a man can make and appreciate it. It's from a book by a food blogger, Susan Russo, called "Recipes Every Man Should Know."

    You'll need:

    • 1 box of brownie mix
    • Ready made whipped cream
    • 6 bacon strips (or if you're daring, use the whole pack)
    • Caramel sauce
That's it. This only takes a few minutes to make, plus baking time. My guests thought it was outrageously good. The combination of salt, chocolate and caramel sauce is to die for. I'm going to be making it again for my Super Bowl party.

So do you cut up the bacon strips in bits and mix it with the brownie mix?

Sounds like gaining 10 lbs for eating half of one.

      Ugh.

I'm intrigued! I recently saw a recipe about taking a baguette, dipping it in chocolate sauce and then sprinkling it with sea salt. This definitely takes it one step further!

Bacon and chocolate are really good together! The Mo's Better Bacon Bar by Vosges Chocolate is one of my favorites. I will have to try these brownies.

I just saw this on Diners, Drive Ins & Dives last night. They were homemade brownies, but same concept.

This might be pretty good. Intermingling 2 of natures most perfect foods! I had maple donuts with bacon on top at a donut shop this summer and it was delish!

Just don't forget the caramel sauce on the chocobacon muffins. It makes the whole dessert! :)

Hmmm. Might be good. Just need some bacon. I would try just a bit using a muffin tin instead of ruining a whole batch of yummy brownies. Chocobacon muffins anyone : ) ?

I like bacon and brownies are OK but not together. No thanks.
