I agree, the Raw food and Macrobiotic are the only diets that seem safe. The others are a bit extreme. But Hollywood itself is a bit extreme. Size 1 is way too thin, in my opinion. I need to loose weight, but I don't want to be any smaller than an 8 or a 6 because I still want to be healthy and curvy! =)

I'd love to "diet" on a lil' Salma... if you know what I mean!

Whatever Salma is doing is working for her. She is one of the most beautiful women alive today.

If it will help me look like Salma, I will try it...

Report SPAM people, I do and it only takes a few seconds.

The raw food diet and macrobiotic diet are the only healthy trends on this list and the rest are for the birds! I've tried the raw food diet and it really is amazing if you have enough self discipline to stick with it. The auhtor Eric Wolfe has released great literature about it if anyone is interested!

Celebrities resort to this kind of drastic diet in order to look good for events, or to drop weight before filming but not for every day. Nobody could stick to these things every day. Also...the most important thing to remember is DIETS DON'T WORK. The only way to lose weight and keep it off is by implementing a true LIFESTYLE CHANGE where you eat healthy, balanced APPROPRIATELY PORTIONED meals and get regular exercise. It's not rocket science!

All Celebrities do not diet feverishly and workout everyday unless they have an event or a movie they need to look good for. They struggle with the same body issues everyone else does only they have the money and resources to fix them faster than us regular peeps. How many of us can afford a personal trainer/Personal Chef/plastic surgeon on demand?

~Selma.... ANY diet of 1100 calories will make you lose weight. It doesnt have to be juice.
~Ashton and Demi... that's basically called anorexia. Read a book.

I agree with Lisa S. The macrobiotic and raw/ high raw diets make the most sense and you are not losing any nutrients you are actually consuming a lot of them.

No one should be looking at celebrities for diet secrets. I learned a long time ago that Hollywood has ridiculous, unrealistic ideas of what "normal" or "healthy" looks like, so I don't buy into any their latest diet fads.

That being said, about 3 months ago, a friend turned me on to Fruta Planta, an all-natural weight loss pill developed in Asia. I have lost about 10 lbs using this, and I really like it because I don't experience any bad side effects, but I still lose weight. I do feel like I'm eating less, which is probably how I'm losing the weight because I haven't really been exercising. But even though I'm eating less, I don't feel hungry, and I have the same level of energy.

There are a lot of companies that sell Fruta Planta on the internet so it is fairly easy to find. This site has a good description/review about it http://www.movelean.com/product-reviews/fruta-planta-for-weight-loss-review.html

Mix that in with some healthy eating, a little exercise, and I should be at my goal weight soon!

I stick to eating my three meals a day and excercise daily. The whole dieting idea scares me that women of today have to resort to such drastic measures to be a size 1. I think its fine to be any size as long as your healthy and you feel great about yourself. Yes, these diets may work for those celebrities but we're not all celebrities trying to look good on a magazine cover.

Celebrities also care about their health like us because they are people. The reason why dieting become such a trend all started when the barbie doll became famous in America. We often feel with our instincts even though we don't recognize it,for example like whenever we see "rounded" people, we already feel they are lazy and slow people, as we are already judging the person by "image" while not knowing it. We then tend to avoid becoming those people and creating a hidden phobia, wanting to be accepted by society(unconsciously).

Also when you change from your normal routine(meat-sweet diet) to natural and healthy foods, by few days or weeks you feel rejuvinated, complete, enlightened, etc. All these effects promoted the diet trend( although I have much to speculate about the hidden influences on a person when on a meet-sweet diet).
