Laura McIntosh
Host/Producer/Co-Creator
As host and executive producer of Emmy nominated cooking and travel program Bringing it Home with Laura McIntosh™, the show’s namesake is truly living her dream. Having grown up in the small farming town of Linden in Northern California as part of a close-knit, fifth generation farming family, it was only natural that she developed a love of the soil and passion for food. Today, Laura continues her lifelong commitment to sharing fun and easy ways to enjoy food at its peak of freshness and educating consumers about our global food heritage. Her diligent work and the success of the show have been recognized over the years with various awards and recognitions, including Telly and Aurora awards and a prestigious James Beard nomination.
As a young adult, Laura left her small town to pursue her passion for theater, which is now the foundation for her lively and spontaneous approach as an on-air host. After studying at the University of California, Santa Barbara, she was accepted into the prestigious American Conservatory Theatre program in San Francisco. After gaining valuable experience in voiceovers for a range of reputable local and national companies such as Dodge, The Oppenheimer Group International, DuPont and E&J Gallo Winery, Laura had the opportunity to host and produce The Full Bloom Show which aired on the Sacramento/Stockton/Modesto ABC affiliate.
Newly married and wanting to settle down and start a family, Laura found herself drawn back to her home town and her farming roots. She and her brother Daniel Moznett founded M. Entertainment in Lodi, California in 2001, as a way to make the most of their shared passion for seasonal ingredients and culinary pursuits and her professional training. The team launched the half-hour television program Bringing It Home with Laura McIntosh in 2002. After six successful years in production and an ever-
expanding on-air distribution, the program stands out among other cooking programs as the cast and crew literally go the extra mile to shoot on-location at farms, orchards and vineyards near and far in order to spotlight various commodities at their very peak of freshness. In addition to hosting the popular program, Laura is instrumental in the development of stories and outreach and coordination with chefs, growers and farmers in her role as the show’s executive producer. Now, M. Entertainment is proud to present Laura’s first cookbook Entertaining at Home with America’s Top Chefs, due to the hit shelves nationally in early June of 2008, and the opening of M. Winery, a boutique winery in Lodi carrying the label “Idol” wines.
Despite her busy schedule, Laura is active in several community programs, including 4-H & The Center for Land Based Learning. She is also a member of the IACP & James Beard Foundation. Even while traveling the world to research food topics and shoot segments for Bringing It Home, Laura, her husband, their two children and her extended family always manage to share Sunday dinner together at home to celebrate life, food and family.
