BELLINDA MYRICK-BARNETT is an author of Fiction with 4 novels which will be published in 2009/2010. Bellinda Myrick-Barnett is also very politically involved and a major advocate of UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE. A former "Miss Texas" and "Miss West Texas" and was one of 7 young women to make up the "Miss America USO Tour" to the War in South Vietnam in 1971 for one month. Bellinda is married with 2 sons in university, she lives on a ranch in Texas where she grew up and then returned to after many years in Southern California living up and down the coast from Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, and Newport Beach where she had initially moved during her career as a singer and an actress. Bellinda Myrick worked over many years in concert with Bob Hope, Red Skelton, Willie Nelson, Roger Miller, and many others as well as working in musical theatre. Cast by legendary Hal B. Wallis, Bellinda Myrick was to have made her movie debut in the part of "Ronnie" in the remake of the Harold Robbins' novel, "A STONE FOR DANNY FISHER," which would never be made due to Wallis dying of a heart attack during pre-production before filming began. Myrick's career had earlier been stalled when a new management contract with Vegas and real estate impressario Del Webb stalled when he died following surgery. Bellinda has traveled extensively around the world singing for numerous Presidents, royalty, and world leaders and she also worked in public relations for M.G.M. STUDIOS in California. In addition, Bellinda has spent many years extensively involved in charity work with various organizations including the Thalians and Associates for Troubled Children in Beverly Hills along with Cystic Fibrosis, the March of Dimes, and the Red Cross as well as fighting to STAND UP TO CANCER! Bellinda and her husband, Barney, were the Co-Chairmen of the 1984 Olympics Modern Pentathlon Gala Fundraiser "Black Tie & Boots" held in Orange County, California. For twenty years, Bellinda has, also, been extensively involved in genealogy research and is the administrator for several internet genealogy research lists. Bellinda Myrick-Barnett will finally, after many years, be back in the recording studio in 2009 as well as promoting the start of her new talent management company: GUARDIAN TALENT MANAGEMENT.
