  • User post: Being cheap or just trying to be fair?

    I have an awkward situation at work. We have been gathering money for each others' birthdays for a while now, but we have skipped some of our co-workers lately because of hard financial times. Both times I and our office manager have mentioned that we should gather the money, but were refused by a majority of other colleagues due to hard finances.

    Well, yesterday one of those people who refused previously has sent out messages for everyone that they are collecting money for another colleague who has a birthday.
