CityMama™ on Shine

Stefania Pomponi Butler, founder and owner of the CityMama™ blog, is proud mother to "Bunny" and "Wallie" and wife to "J." She is a professional writer and blog editor/producer who covers style, food, pop culture, and (of course) parenting with a cheeky twist. She often speaks on blog-related topics. In addition to writing the CityMama™ blog and the Family Food™ blog, Stefania is one of the Founding Editors of the Kimchi Mamas™ blog (her culture and identity site) and the MOMocrats™ blog (her progressive politics blog which was recently selected as one of the credentialed blogs for the Democratic National Convention). She spoke at BlogHer '07 on the subject of professional blogging and spoke at Blogher Business '08 on how to pitch to bloggers of color. As a freelancer she contributes to various corporate websites and will have articles published in the August 2008 issues of Good Housekeeping and Redbook. Stefania is on the "Blogebrity B-list" and CityMama™, with over 3,000 RSS subscribers, is a Bloglines Parenting "QuickPick." Her work has appeared in various parenting magazines, in the New York Times, KoreAm Journal (twice), Good Housekeeping (twice), Redbook, and on Pacific Time on NPR. Stefania was born in Honolulu, HI and has lived in Rome, Italy; San Francisco, CA; and Portland, OR. She currently resides in the Silicon Valley, CA where she blogs most often from the discomfort of her kitchen table/office. Oh, and it's pronounced "Stef-ANYA."
