Every year, my family (dad’s side) has a huge July 4th cookout at my parents’ house. The whole family attends, and with seven siblings (who produced 15 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren), it’s quite a sizable crowd. There is always great food, fireworks, gallons of beer, a... My typical Saturday goes something like this… (Lord, this is embarrassing.) Wake up around 7:30am and make breakfast. Surf the internet and catch up on blogs for a few hours (I know, I know). Go for a run. Come back and shower. Grab some lunch–eat while surfing the internet again. Write for... Read More »- Let’s talk: Comment (0) | Blog

What do you want to be when you grow up? That’s a powerful question, isn’t it? What do you want to “BE”, not what do you want to DO. Describe the nature/purpose of your existence—God, that’s huge. And we ask this to 2 nd graders? It’s an important question—possibly THE question of... Read More »- Let’s talk: Comment (0) | Blog

Speaking for myself, when it comes to work (and school, when I was a student), I always get things done early. The second I’m given a professional or academic deadline, I’m off and running. I usually have my work done well in advance of the due date. My colleagues and former classmates would tell you that I never procrastinate.
