I really love and appreciate the company I work for I have given them over 6 years of my life. Through many ups, downs, trails, tribulations Human resources, good managers like Jeff, Maria has always been there. Things were going fine until I was tranferred to a department by the name of "BUNDLES". I was transferred with the promise that I would be promted within and that the new dfepartment gave me a chance to grow within the company. I applied for a management postion but was not given a reason other than they wanted managers that were bi-lingual.. The three mangers that were hired were based on personal decisons and not profession one soon resigned and the other left to work for another conpany. Screen shot from URBAN YOGIS
Yoga changes lives. We see it again and again. People suffering from illness, struggling with self-esteem or weight or imbalance, looking for purpose and avenues to change the world… Every story in its distinct way reflects the transformative power of yoga. And, of course, human beings' own capacity to change and thrive.
It is this very power we aim to capture on our new show, URBAN YOGIS, launching October 8 on The Chopra Well. Beautifully shot, inspiring, and heartfelt - the series delves into the lives of cancer survivors,Eddie Stern and Moby practicing their inner-city youth dealing with violence in their communities, recovering addicts, artists, youth in detention facilities, and more. Interspersed with these stories of yoga transformation, episodes feature interviews between yoga instructor Eddie Stern and comedian Russell Brand, Grammy-nominated musician Moby (pictured right in "happy baby pose"), and "yogi" businessman Russell Simmons. (Didn't know these guys were die-hard yogis? Yeah,Read More »from What Yoga Can Do for Cancer Survivors, Inner-City Youth, and YOU!
Today is a sunny, cool, windy day in Seattle. Yesterday, First Lady Michelle Obama spoke at the Westin Hotel here in Seattle and once again our city leaders, King County leaders and state legislators were very accommodating, polite and professional. Of course, traffic was an issue, beautifully, there was nothing unseemly that happened. This is a source of pride for me as a citizen living in Seattle, Washington!Read More »from Loving Seattle!
I enjoy living here because of the people, the top representatives and the environment. There are some negativity here of course, but generally this is a diverse, caring, answerable state to live in. We care in Seattle despite the impetus not to in the global world today. There are so many cruel, selfish people however, what we tend to forget about is all the truly lovely, caring, beautiful people there are.
They don't receive as much "buzz" as the horrid people, however on a day like yesterday, we get to be reminded of all the wonderful people that we have in this world.

Lady Gaga was the biggest pop star to grace London Fashion Week, and Azealia Banks made an appearance at Milan Fashion Week. Thank goodness the word is finally getting around about how much sugar we Americans consume these days (would you believe, 175 pounds per person per year?) - and how terrible it is for our health (obesity, diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, kidney disease, Alzheimer's, and more).
But there's another dietary bad guy flying under the radar that's almost as bad for us: Bread.
Like most Americans, I was once an enthusiastic bread eater. I loved a crunchy French baguette. I swooned for chewy, dark, whole-grain bread. I'd wrap anything in a warm tortilla. And I was hooked on the morning muffin that accompanied my first latte of the day.
But no more. I've given up bread and baked goods - and I'm slimmer and better off for it.
Once I bagged the bread, I noticed a quick improvement in my health. Why? Because bread was damaging my body on a daily basis. Here are just 5 of many good reasons to stop eating this wildly popular food….
