Well, this time, it looks like it's actually true: According to People, a source has confirmed that Blake and Ryan tied the knot Sunday night in South Carolina. Congrats, you two crazy kids!

  • The weather was not hot. In fact, it was a beautiful spring day, and I was wearing a lightweight pantsuit. All of a sudden, I felt a flush of heat come over my entire body. Perspiration began dripping from my head trailing between my breasts creeping all the way down to the inner seams of my pants. It looked like I had just come from a Bikram yoga class, but instead I was in a business meeting!

I was no longer going to be able to ignore that nagging suspicion that something was going on with my body. Now, I and everyone around me had a clear sign of what was happening to me. I was in perimenopause.

I have blogged about hot flashes before, frankly, who hasn't? Hot flashes are one of the most frequent, dramatic, and alarming symptoms of perimenopause and menopause. I find it an amazing sign of women's resilience that we've found a way to laugh at this often-debilitating condition. I've heard all of the hot flash jokes. Hot flashes have been compared to power surges, brief

  • At ages 5 and 7 years of age, I bought my children Apple's 8GB iPod touch 4th generation. I was criticized by many people that they were too young for such an advanced piece of technology. To this day, it has been the best investment that I have ever made.

The 8GB iPod touch 4th generation, Apple'
s most popular iPod, has over 200 new software features in iOS 5. My kids favorite is Video calling, which means their friends (and parents!) can see what they're up to, when they're up to it. With a tap, they can call someone on an iPhone, iPad 2, iPod touch, or Mac over Wi-Fi. I love this feature especially since I work in the evenings and don't get to tuck them into bed every night. And let's not forget that it's the world's most popular gaming device. Family and friends are never at a loss now for gift ideas thanks to iTunes. The App Store has over 500,000 apps, a lot of which are very educational too:)

  • On April 8, 2011 I got the best news of my life. I was pregnant!! My husband, Randy, and I married at 19, but wanted to wait to have children. Finally, just over four years later we were expecting. I could not wait to tell him. I wrapped the tests in tissue paper and put them in a big box and went up to his work. Of course, he was right in the middle of something, but was able to pull away to see what in the world i could need. I never just showed up at his work. He guessed what was in the box before he could even get to the tests. The look on his face was priceless. It was a mix of childish fear and his first beam of a father's pride. He stared into space for a little while then looked at me, smiled, and said," Okay, let's do this!"

The next few months were filled with absolute joy! We bought our first home, found out we were having a little girl, he got a great new job, and we began to work on the nursery. I was 25 weeks pregnant when we decided to plan a "baby moon". Randy

  • What an interesting concept. One that before now, has never made me question so much, the concept of necessary blind faith embedded in the acceptance of this statement, that has been not only been repeated, but basically, like an appendage, has been attached to just about every set of wedding vows, heard across various religious or ethnic groups. Who's idea was it, anyway; that in some form or another, anyone vowing to assume another person as a significant other, should continue with this person, no matter what sick discovery about them you should make, during the course of the relationship, "till death do you part" or for "as long as you both shall live," or however else it is stated?

Perhaps, this statement is most revered by people who don't stop to consider that this person they are vowing to attach themselves to, like an everlasting "ball and chain," is just not "till death do us part" material. Sure that's something you should consider before you decide to take those vows, but
