It's a sheer wonder that I know my way around a kitchen. Growing up, my mother - bless her heart - fed her family via pizza delivery, fast food, and endless frozen TV dinners. Though I love my mother dearly, I'm glad the convenience food gene wasn't inherited. Now, as a wife and mom of two young boys, I take a lot of pride in cooking and baking for my family, creating delicious and healthy foods, and hopefully creating memories in the kitchen.
Not only do I love creating homemade food, I'm partial to growing that food as well. In our backyard, we have the makings of a mini-farm, with apple trees, blueberry bushes, a strawberry patch, vegetable garden, and more, and we try to make the most of what we grow.
