These days, wedding dress codes can be broken down into a thousand different categories -- recently my dad asked me for advice on what to wear to a "beach chic" affair. (My answer: a white button-down with rolled-up sleeves tucked into a pair of khakis and finished with brown leather flip-flops and, for my mom, a floral sundress) Besides the obvious knowledge that under no circumstances are you to wear white or ivory (unless the bride has specifically asked you to), getting dressed for these events can be stressful. This weekend, I'll be wearing a navy strapless floor-length gown chosen by one of my oldest and bestest friends as she marries her wonderful fiancé, so I don't even have to think. But, don't fret.
