In a battle of six identical slate-grey sequined Hervé Léger bandage dresses, it's hard to choose just who wore it best. Let's start with who wore it first. Surprisingly, that honor goes to Bethenny Frankel (of "The Real Housewives of New York," and now, "Bethenny Getting Married?" fame). While she certainly possesses a strong jaw and a high-pitched nasal voice, ahead-of-the-game style she does not. Not that an Hervé Léger bandage dress is anywhere near avant-garde, but I digress. Almost five months later, in September of 2008, Sophia Bush made a body-con statement with the dress even if she did have it hemmed to an awkward, matronly length. Two days later, Leona Lewis and her bangin' curves stepped out in it, accessorized with nothing but a pair of strappy nude sandals, her trademark waves and glowy, bronzed skin. Almost two weeks later, Heidi Montag's pre-op body filled it out rather nicely -- even though I admit that such a tight dress needn't have been shortened into a mini.

Summer Lovin': Your Wedding Season Wardrobe
By Ariel Rivera | The Thread – Mon, Jun 14, 2010 8:56 PM EDTThese days, wedding dress codes can be broken down into a thousand different categories -- recently my dad asked me for advice on what to wear to a "beach chic" affair. (My answer: a white button-down with rolled-up sleeves tucked into a pair of khakis and finished with brown leather flip-flops and, for my mom, a floral sundress) Besides the obvious knowledge that under no circumstances are you to wear white or ivory (unless the bride has specifically asked you to), getting dressed for these events can be stressful. This weekend, I'll be wearing a navy strapless floor-length gown chosen by one of my oldest and bestest friends as she marries her wonderful fiancé, so I don't even have to think. But, don't fret. From the most casual of backyard barbecues to the most elegant of galas, I've got you covered.

By Ariel Rivera | The Thread – Thu, Jun 10, 2010 3:38 PM EDTLet me just preface this photo gallery by saying this: Katherine Heigl, I love you! You're witty, smart and beautiful. You know how to dress your body and you don't follow the herd, like most people in Hollywood. You're the kind of girl that girls want to be and guys want to date. That being said, you've had some slip-ups. Some faux-pas. We all have. You'll laugh this off tomorrow and we'll remain best friends, won't we? Well, let's just get down to it, shall we? Honey, your hair at the "Killers" premiere in London was just absurd. You know what I'm talking about. Everyone hits rock bottom. We can only go up from here. Below, a collection of moments to remind you that when you step out of the house with silly hair, it still gets photographed and the evidence lives on the internet for eternity.

Read More »from Summer Hair & Make-up Trends to Try Right NowThis Memorial Day weekend, why not try one (or all) of the three biggest trends for summer? The spring runways saw tons of prints -- specifically gingham, tie-dye and tribal-inspired. So whether you're hitting the beach, going for a sail, spending some time in a city, or attending a backyard barbeque, you'll look hot in any of the super cool items below. Because, let's be honest, wearing red, white and blue on Memorial Day is sort of the equivalent of a reindeer-appliquéd sweater on Christmas, no?

Channel a summery Brigitte Bardot in any of these sexy gingham pieces. Pull on a pair of well-worn cutoffs with the cropped shirt, pair a $5 knotted white drugstore tank with the flippy skirt, and just add sunscreen and a smile with the bikini.

The new tie-dye is less about being a barefoot hippie, and more about fresh color combinations and an urban flair (think Proenza Schouler). Talk about knowing what flatters you and sticking to it. Undeterred by trends, this glamazon manages to maintain a formula to dressing and she achieves a flawless, interesting look every time she hits the red carpet. In honor of her new film (the 4th -- yes, FOURTH -- installment in the "Shrek" empire), "Shrek Forever After," let's take a look at Cameron's distinctive style through the below photos taken in the past year.

Gone are the days of the "anchorwoman uniform" - you know the one: shellacked hair, a monochromatic suit in a primary color and a string of pearls. Today's female television journalis
Don't you love it when your childhood fantasies mix with your adult obsessions? "Robinhood," the timeless classic, which I couldn't get enough of as a child, is set to hit the big screen as a powerful, high-budget masterpiece. Russel Crowe, William Hurt, and -- be still my heart -- Cate Blanchett are part of the all-star cast. I love everything Cate does from the way she seamlessly becomes her characters to the way she wears a dress on the red carpet. In honor of the new Lady Marian, check out the gallery below of my favorite of her red carpet looks through the years.

Girls, where would we be without our best friends? I know I'd laugh a lot less, have lower self-confidence and fewer dresses in my closet. Here's to best friends who could teach a
Who doesn't love Betty White? The unbelievably talented comedic actress, who got her start as a model and became one of TV's first female producers, has been all over the place lately. She starred in last year's "The Proposal," was featured in a hugely successful Super Bowl ad, and was a subject of a viral campaign to be a host on SNL. Luckily for us, the campaign worked and we'll be glued to our TVs this Saturday as Betty is set to deliver a sure-to-be hilarious performance. To celebrate, we've put together a gallery of Betty's fashions through the years.
