Like Starbucks peppermint mochas or department store window decorations, the tacky Christmas sweater is a telltale sign the holidays are upon us. Oversized sweaters emblazoned with dancing reindeers or smiling snowmen have been beloved by grandmas and hipsters for years now (the hipsters wear them ironically, of course). But only recently has the tacky Christmas sweater forayed into high fashion.

Yes, now you can get a designer tacky Christmas sweater, made by high fashion label Meadham Kirkchoff, for a mere $1,395. On Net-a-Porter.com the sweater is referred to as a "metallic-embroidered knit." The website explains the inspiration for the sweater was taken from retro, 1960s-era wrapping paper. Really? Retro wrapping paper? At least give credit to all the tacky Christmas sweater-wearing grannies out there that were clearly the inspiration for this "metallic-embroidered knit."

We don't know many women that would ask for a Teddy bear this holiday -- but that might change with The Designer Pudsey 2012 Collection. This 30-piece one-of-a-kind collection reinvented the trademark cuddly, bandaged yellow bear for the BBC charity Children in Need. High fashion labels like Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, Tom Ford, Burberry (the list goes on) redesigned the bear for the charity. From Swarovski Crystals and bright prints to add-on accessories and lush fabrics, each label added their own signature style to the classic children's lovey.

Attention all you Facebook addicts, we've got the perfect pair of jeans for you. Italian denim label Replay is debuting a line of jeans in December called the "Social Denim Collection" that comes with Facebook and Twitter capabilities built in. This means your pants can now update your Facebook status for you.

How does this work, exactly? Each pair of jeans comes with an extra fifth pocket that contains a Bluetooth-connected transmitter. Simply slide your smartphone into the pocket, and then use a series of buttons to update your location or current mood to Facebook and Twitter without ever having to exhaust yourself by taking your phone out of your pocket.

These social media jeans raise many questions: Is it really that hard to just take out your iPhone and update your Facebook status? Why do your pants have to do all the hard work for you? And what's next? A bra that can update your Tumblr?

Urban Outfitters is known for its hipster clothing and free-spirited attitude, but they're starting to get a reputation for something else … ripping off other designers' work.

Yesterday, the company pulled a necklace from their website after designer Elena Coleman of TOMTOM Jewelry accused them of copying one of her designs via Twitter. TOMTOM's Future in Retrograde necklace and Urban's Sliced Triangle Necklace both feature triangular shaped stones with gold-ridged settings. After removing the necklace from their site, they reached out to Coleman with Urban explaining that the knockoff was purchased through a vendor and that they didn't know about the original TOMTOM necklace design. Urban went on to say in the email, "Please know that Urban Outfitters would never intentionally copy a designer's work. We work very hard to avoid situations such as this." But do they really?

When we think of Post-Its we think of stocking up on school supplies at Staples, or that scene from "Romy and Michele's High School Reunion." We don't think of adorable accessories. But apparently Post-It is expanding its horizons from being exclusively a purveyor of sticky paper to also creating cute handbags. Yup, for the holidays Post-It is selling dispensers shaped like a handbag and a clutch for $10.

As self-declared stationary nerds, we're kind of obsessed with the idea of a Post-It purse. Everybody knows Post-Its win the award for being the most fun office supply ever. And this Post-It purse is the perfect stocking stuffer for your fashionista friend who has a bit of a geek streak.

Calling all bros, it's mani/pedi time! Nail polish brand "Alpha Nail" is a line of polishes marketed specifically at "manly men." The brand offers a matte and metallic collection in totally un-girly colors like "Burnin' Rubber" and "Cocaine" for $9.95 each. Even the dispenser is manly -- each polished is applied with a high-tech-looking pen. No dainty Essie-esque bottles here.

The Alpha Nail website explains that the polish is for practical purposes since it keeps nails strong and healthy. But Alpha Nail also explains that dudes want to wear polish for the same reasons women do: to make a statement. According to Alpha Nails website, "It is about having the confidence that says 'I am my own man, and I will decide the rules for how I live my life according to how I see fit.'"
