Have you ever been involved in a rumor whether you are helping spread it or the victim of one? More than likely both.
When I logged onto Facebook this morning I had a message from someone I didn't know. The message contained an occurrence that happened several years ago that caused alot of heartache for those involved. It also contained details that were not the truth. The parties involved had dealt with the indiscretion and moved on years ago. Why had this person decided to bring this up now? Do people spread rumors out of boredom, or do they thrive on the drama it causes?

A little something to think about when the stories start going around the grocery store, school, ice rink, athletic fields, or parties: My name is gossip. I have no respect for justice. I maim without killing. I break hearts and ruin lives. I am cunning and malicious and gather strength with age. The more I am quoted, the more I am believed. My victims are helpless.
