This is the Summer of Short Haircuts, and True Blood's Evan Rachel Wood is trying out the trend. She debuted a spiky pixie cut at last night's HBO premiere, and we think the look really suits her. She has delicate features that work with an edgy style like this one-and she opted for feminine makeup (bold pink lipstick and a swipe of eyeliner) to balance it out even more. Now, of course we're dying to find out if this has anything to do with her character on the show.

Last night's Critics' Choice Television Awards featured plenty of sexy stars, but Cat Deeley, the host of So You Think You Can Dance, and Sarah Michelle Gellar, who's starring in the new show Ringer where she plays identical twins (yup, both of them), looked seriously beautiful. While they both wore pretty, summery dresses-Cat opted for white lace and Sarah went with floral-printed chiffon-their fresh, dewy makeup was the best part. Neither one fell into the awards-show trap of going over the top. Instead, it was all about gorgeous skin with lots of dewiness.

Yes, this is an actual photo of me taking a Zumba class. (I'm wearing a purple top and black pants, and I'm strategically hiding behind much better dancers.) I'm definitely not the dance-workout type, but I was curious about Zumba-people are ob-sessed. So when Degree hosted a class for beauty writers to test their new "motion-activated" deodorant(the more you move, the better it works), I jumped at the chance-all in the name of investigative journalism.

Even though I was excited to try this workout craze, I was also very skeptical (translation: petrified). You see, I'm not very coordinated. My younger sister is a classical ballet dancer and she got all the dancing genes. (My college friends used to mock "the Dawn dance" relentlessly-it consisted of a head bob, swaying hair and not much else.) So when I got to class, I positioned myself towards the middle of the room and directly behind the Glamazons's Andrea-I knew she'd be good, so I planned to follow her and hoped she'd be

I haven't gotten my hair cut in months (like eight months), and the situation is getting dire. Every single strand is a split end. I even started trimming them myself like Maria Menounos, but there are just too many-I get distracted and can loose an entire afternoon snipping away.

I'm not quite sure why I can't bring myself to make an appointment and get a haircut like a normal person. (Not to mention that I'm a beauty editor and it's technically my job.) Part of it is fear that the stylist will go rogue and cut off too many inches from my slow-growing mane. The rest is probably a combination of being both too busy and too indecisive to pick a salon and commit.

But I recently went to an event at the beautiful Oscar Blandi salon in NYC to learn about some of their new products, and I suddenly felt inspired. Lady Gaga performed her latest single, Hair on a British TV show over the weekend. Instead of rocking the turquoise bob she wore to the CFDA Awards, she opted to go completely hairless. Yes, bald! We have no idea whether she actually shaved her head or if it's one of those rubber caps-and since her hair is never the same two days in a row, we'll probably never know for sure. It feels like we just blogged about Khloe Kardashian's nip slip on a Fox morning show, and now Jennifer Lopez has gone and done the same thing in Germany. (She really should have read our four easy tips to avoid a wardrobe malfunction.)

While J.Lo looked gorgeous in a long, Lanvin dress-the kind you'd never expect to be prone to such problems-the wind picked up and she was forced to battle with the flowing skirt... Well, her stylist must have forgotten the Fashion Tape because the rest is now history.

While the malfunction itself wasn't such a big deal, we'd like to thank J.Lo for proving two very important things: First, that your twins can still look great after having twins, and secondly, that sometimes tight dresses are actually less revealing than loose-fitting frocks. The tennis championships at Wimbledon are in full-swing through July 3rd, and even though it isn't considered a major fashion event, superstar players Maria Sharapova (left) and Serena Williams may be changing that. While they're both known for wearing some intense fashion on the court, they looked fantastic on the red carpet at the opening party last night.

Maria opted for a dress with very cool cut-out shoulders and paired it with a major statement necklace. On the other side of the, er, net, Serena went with a bold turquoise body-con style and a pop of hot pink lipstick.

If you have curly hair, let your tresses air-dry this weekend and wear your style au naturel. Trust us: It's liberating! Use a curl-defining product like Kenra Curl Defining Creme to keep each ringlet frizz-free.

If your hair is naturally straight or wavy, wrap small pieces around a thin curling iron to get tight spirals like Rihanna's. Lock it in place with hairspray to make the look last all night.
