(CBS) In the battle for wackiest outfit, reigning champion Lady Gaga squared off against surprising upstart Cee Lo Green. Who won?

Gaga, of course, was the hands on favorite after her meat dress monstrosity at the MTV Music Awards last year. Some loved it. Some hated it. Cher had to hug it. Everyone noticed it and God help the dry cleaner who had to deal with it.
At the Grammys Sunday night, Gaga came strong, rolling onto the red carpet encased in a creamy off white egg which was carried by four pall bearers. She later "hatched" onto stage. Well played Gaga.
But Cee Lo Green came ready to party, wearing a giant bird-like Muppet costume with giant plumes of red, yellow and blue feathers, a shiny metal chest plate and sparkling head piece. If "Fraggle Rock" and the movie "300" had a baby that got hit with nuclear radiation, it would probably look a lot like this.

Rihanna, who battled bronchitis and laryngitis just days before her scheduled performance at the Grammys, has finally made it to the event. She wore a white revealing dress by Jean Paul Gaultier which made her look like a layer cake or a Christmas decoration.
LeAnn Rimes and Kim Kardashian also had stunning dresses. The country music singer who is among the nominees that night donned a v-neck gown by Reem Acra. Meanwhile, the reality TV star showed some skin in a bronze frock by Kaufman Franco, joking that her "whole butt" almost "wouldn't fit in" the dress.

Rounding out the top tier are Bruno Mars's "Grenade" at No. 6, Ke$ha's "Blow" at No. 7, Katy Perry's "E.T." featuring Kanye West at No. 8, Enrique Iglesias' "Tonight (I'm Lovin' You)" featuring Ludacris and DJ Frank E at No. 9 and Perry's "Firework" at No. 10.
