      Gordon Ramsay

Chef Gordon RamsayGordon Ramsay's reputation is built upon his goal of culinary perfection -- and his bloody hot temper.

But the British chef does have a soft spot in his heart -- for seasonal vegetables - radishes and watercress in April, asparagus, spinach and spring onions in May and artichokes, carrots, eggplant and beans in June.

"I don't want to see asparagus in the middle of December, I want to see it home grown," he says. Seasonal veggies deliver the most flavor and the most nutrition. That's why April and May are prime time for his watercress, asparagus soup and his signature Sweet Potato Spinach Feta Frittata.

Many women will admit to feeling a slight pang of envy when they see the sleek models in magazine advertisements, TV commercials and fashion blogs; but some women are affected by these images in a deeper and more dangerous way.

A 2011 study out of England's London School of Economics looked at 3,000 cases of anorexic women from the UK and other parts of Europe. The study found that the images the women encountered in society and media influenced their decision to eat less, ultimately leading to their anorexia.

The researchers who authored the study wrote that "government intervention" is merited in order to adjust women's self-image and perception of "the perfect body."

This week, Israel has become the first country to ban "overly thin" models from appearing in local advertisements,
