I know that we now live in a world were doing good deeds and thinking about others before yourself is almost physically and emotionally impossible. Especially if you live in New York City. Out here in the city of hopes and dreams, it's more of "Survival Of The Fittest!" and "Every Man For Himself". So much for thinking about others right? Still with the numerous amount of people performing selfish acts on a regular basis, I can't seem to shake the feeling that throughout all the debauchery and mayhem in the world there are a few decent people out there who perform selfless acts, no matter how big or small they might be. Take today for example:
I woke up this morning feeling super exhausted. I only had five hours of sleep last night due to the fact that I was cramming for a midterm. Everything this morning began to go insanly wrong for some weird reason. I spent an hour and a half trying to fix and curl my hair but it ended up becoming an ultimate disaster. In my attempt to fix

I love music. I think everyone would agree that music has to be one of the most beautiful and magnificent things that God has put on this earth for us human beings. I worship music so much that I have the treble clef tattooed on my wrist. The whole significance of it means that music flows through my veins…yes I know it may sound corny but I guess that makes me a cornball right? I'm not too particular in what kind of genre I solely listen to because I'm very diverse and try to broaden my horizons with all types of music whether it's Pop, Rock, R&B, Hip-Hop, Country, Gospel, Latin, Techno, House, Hindi, Reggae, etc. I can say that my favorite genre is Rock, but I mean there are all different types of Rock such as Punk, Alternative, Metal, Grunge, etc...and I love them all. My love for rock began at a young age when my mother use to play her Metallica and Guns N' Roses CDs while she took care of me. Ever since then I became obsessed and started to listen to all types of rock. Since IRead More »from Is Rock & Roll Dead?
My father is a Veteran and has served his time protecting this country. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp. and of course according to there motto "Once a Marine, Always a Marine." I'm a daddys girl (yes I admit it) and when I was a little girl I always thought that there would be no one else as awsome and trustworthy like him. Then as I got older...as many young children do...we tend to broaden our horizons and try to find our Prince Charming. According to Sigmund Frued, females try to find partners that resemble their fathers and males try to find partners that resemble their mothers. I know it sounds sick and disgusting but since we are all intelligent and mature adults, we sit and think about it..and in the end we find it to be maybe a little true.Read More »from 18 Tips for the Military Soulmates
I have been in a couple of relationships and most of them are now in the military. From experience I can say that it is not a regular relationship. The commitment and trust level is cherished and more fragile. You are always separated
I was talking to one of my girlfriends one day and we began to talk about a man that she was with when she lived in Puerto Rico. According to her description of him, he was a sweetheart. He treated her with the up most respect and gave her the love that she needed. They had a good understanding of each other and communicated well. To most women who have been in bad relationships before, this should sound like heaven correct? So given the facts and details of this romatic prince charming of hers, I pondered as to why she wasn't with him still. I asked her "What happened?" to which she replied "I met someone else and decided to start something new." In my opinion, to leave a man like that is absolute insanity but as the saying goes "To Each His Own". Now this so called someone else that she is with now is a juvinile fiendish male who consistently makes her feel like the bad person in the relationship. She let one of the most decent guys (which are rare to find) go for an inconsiderateRead More »from Sweethearts vs. Jerks
So I was in the ladies room and I overheard the conversation of these two girls. I couldn't help but eavesdrop because they were talking really loud (so much for a private conversation).Read More »from Sex + Stranger = Soulmate???
Girl #1: "So how did it go the other night?"
Girl #2: " Well...we had a few drinks, talked a little, then went back to his place."
Girl #1: "How was it?"
Girl #2: "He was amazing. We exchanged numbers so that we can keep in touch."
Girl #1: "And have you guys been keeping in touch."
Girl #2: "Sort of...We only talk for a few minutes and he stopped calling me. Also when I asked him to go out to lunch he said he had some important things to take care of."
Girl #1: "Maybe he's just working really hard."
Girl #2: "Yeah...maybe..."
Um...news flash my dear young female, he is ignoring you. A lot of females get this confused because maybe the new generation is warped with sexual intimacy, but you cannot expect to find your Prince Charming by sleeping around with random guys that you meet. Women
It is most crucial that you should not wait for the last minute to tell someone how you feel. Tell them then and now! In My Best Friends Wedding, Micheal is speaking to his best friend Jewels (who is head over heels for Micheal) about the advice his fiancee gave him: "When you feel something, just say it or life just passes you by". Its horrible to not say what you think and/or want because trust me...it will come back to bite you in the ass!Read More »from Do Not Wait For The Last Minute
While attending college I bumped into an old friend of mine. We went to elementary school together and I remember he had an incredibly huge crush on me. Since I have deleted myself from the neighborhood he took me around and I've witnessed what I have missed for the past 4 years...which was basically nothing. But as we walked and conversed about our goals in life and what we want to pursue, I began to feel an attraction towards him and I suddenly realized that I like him. We spent days with each other that I hold most dear til this day.
Everyone has seen the advertisements on the street, internet, subway stations, flyers, billboards, television, etc. Psychic Reading has become either the most interesting or hated thing that people see. But the majority of people use psychic reading to find their soul mate. I'm walking down my neighborhood and I realize that there are more then one psychic reading places here. They have never been here before and it was as if they suddenly sprung out of nowhere! Many of them step outside to as people if they would like a free reading or to test out their curiousity. But as the saying goes: Curiousity Killed The Cat...See what I mean? Personally, I don't believe in psychic reading. My family is very old fashined and have believe that any psychic are liars, deceivers, and will say anything for a couple of dollars in their pocket. One day I was walking dow the avenue of my neighborhood with a friend of mine, a woman shouted at me saying "Excuse me miss, would you like to have a freeRead More »from Psychic Reading to Find Love???
