      Summer

      By Kristin Granero, Life2PointOh.com

Headed toward the post-summer coulda-woulda-shouldas? Behold, your guide to no regrets.

      1. Rent a shore house for a long weekend. Nothing says summer like a few days spent shooting the breeze beachside with your "Top 5." Can't afford to go in on a house? Opt to rent a few camp sites nearby. (Just make sure everyone vows to leave the Jersey Shore drama at home).

      2. Cool down with ice cream. Whether creating your own concoction at the local creamery or kicking it gelati style, frozen treats are ripe for the lickin'.

      3. Make a playlist of summer's greatest hits. Start with the song you use to get out of bed, the one you listened to while prepping for nights out (Katy's Perry's "Last Friday Night," anyone?) and anything from Justin Bieber (er, if you're into that sort of thing).

      4. Set sail (anywhere). Don't have a friend with a boater's license? Call your local dock to see if you can have one of their skippers take you out or

    • Life Lessons We Learned from Clueless

      CluelessBy Julie Miller, Life2PointOh.com

It's the 17th anniversary of Clueless and we remember it like was yesterday that we were walking around middle school with plaid miniskirts, saying "Whatever" while we were rolling with our homies. Yes, the movie changed our lives at that time… it also made us the women we are today.

In celebration of the milestone anniversary, here are 20-something things we learned from Cher and the crew.

      1. Think twice about guys who dress better than you.
      2. Sometimes you have to show a little skin. This reminds boys of being naked, and then they think of sex.
      3. Anything you can do to draw attention to your mouth is good.
      4. Never accept the first offer.
      5. Your best friend should be someone who gets you (ie., who also knows how it feels for people to be jealous of you).
      6. Stay away from sports where balls fly at your nose (for medical reasons, obvi.)
      7. Some people will not RSVP. But you can always make room. The more the merrier.
      8. It does not

    • This Just In: 20 is Not the New 30!

20 is not the new 30By Kourtney Jason, Life2PointOh.com

Ever feel like you're not quite an "adult" yet? Trust us when we say we have that feeling on the regular. It's partly because we think this one decade doesn't really matter when we've got our whole lives ahead of us. But that's where we're wrong. We think we have much more time to get our lives-and ourselves-figured out than we actually do. However, when we procrastinate on making these inevitable life choices, we aren't realized the lasting effects on our lives down the line. So while we know our 20s are about finding ourselves, we're also aware that we can put this soul-searching off until tomorrow or the day after that and so on. And that's a critical mistake, according to Dr. Meg Jay, a clinical psychologist who specializes in adult development and in 20-somethings in particular. In her new book The Defining Decade, Dr. Meg Jay explains that 80 percent of life's most consequential events (getting married, having kids, becoming

      1. Cut all ties with him. We know it's hard, but defriending him on Facebook will help you move on more easily. You are going to want to stalk him. And in this day and age, the internet makes it so easy. But you know seeing a wall post from some random girl will drive you crazy for days. You will analyze the death out of it. Why put yourself through

    • The I-Do’s and Don’ts of Being a Bridesmaid

      BridesmaidsBy Ashley Rose Howard, Life2PointOh.com

Your best friend has counted on you since your first try at the monkey bars together, followed by an exchange of connecting-heart-BFF necklaces. She giggled with you through every crush; she leaned on you after each break-up; and now she needs you by her side on the most important day of her life: her wedding day. No pressure. In order to prevent your B-F-F/Bride-2-Be from turning into a bride-z-i-l-l-a, follow these crucial do's and don'ts of a dutiful bridesmaid.

Do offer the Mrs.-to-be a well-researched list of the best wedding planners in the area.
Don't take on a second full-time job as her personal wedding planner.

Do accompany her in shopping for the bridesmaids' dress style and color palette.
Don't hint that your complexion looks best in white.

Do tell the bride how much you love her dress and even share tears of joy when she steps out of the fitting room.
Don't start hysterically crying that you can't

    • Love Him or Leave Him: 7 Signs He's a Keeper!

Danila Panfilov via FlickrBy Ashley Rose Howard, Life2PointOh.com

So you've made it past the third date-you are really into this one (*blush*) and the feeling definitely seems mutual. There are no red flags, no hints of flakiness and certainly no obvious signs that you're dating the wrong guy. Perhaps, you've finally found a keeper! How can you be sure? Look for these 7 signs.

Sign #1: He makes an effort to impress you!
There's nothing like a man's eagerness to make you smile. A guy that goes out of his way to order your favorite Starbucks drink or make reservations at the trendy, new restaurant you've been raving about is surely a keeper!

      Sign #2: He pays attention.
Did you forget that you mentioned your rather bizarre infatuation with peanut butter? He didn't-which is why he showed up with a jar of (extra chunky!) Jiffy wrapped in a bow on your birthday instead of flowers.

Sign #3: He mentions that he's already told his friends about you.
Getting name-dropped with his boys is

But with knowledge comes power, and the tips we have here will guide you on your way to being financially savvy. We talked to Mitchell D. Weiss, author of Life Happens (see giveaway at bottom of this post!) and an instructor in the Economics & Finance Department at University of Hartford, for his suggestions on what important documents you should keep, toss or shred.
