The Very Reverend Dr. John Hall seems to be more concerned about the possible desecration of Westminster Abbey with a Royal kiss than some other issues that are more important, it seems to me. Nowhere in the Bible is kissing in church forbidden. I have no problem with the rules of the Church of England in this regard, although it seems a bit excessive, but it's their church. What I think the honored sir should be more concerned about is not the "Hollywood" influence--and I believe people have been kissing at weddings before movies were invented--but rather, the fact that this particular couple has been living together without the benefit of marriage for several years. Is no one in the C of E even publicly concerned about this? The Bible does speak clearly and firmly about sex before marriage, and it is always against it.
