This month we got to try out Maybelline's New Baby Lips, Mine came in an adorable pinktube with a bright pink stick, the pink punch "flavor". Maybelline boasts "No more basic lip balm. Lip renew formula and 8-hr hydration for visibly renewed lips in 4 weeks. Clinical care for baby-soft lips." (about) Maybelline Baby Lips
I'm a huge fan of any kind of lip balm so when this came in the mail, I was thrilled. I am all about this new lip balm. It's soft and smells good and kept my lips soft all day long. I think what I love most was the punch of color that came with it. I started layering it with my lipstain to achieve the perfect color combo. Baby Lips comes in 6 shades, (2 are colorless). I loved this stuff so much that I also went and picked up the "Cherry Me" flavor. At $3.99, it is a steal. Would make a great little stocking stuffter!!

Shine Beauty Guru Review: Maybelline Baby Lips
By Michelle, The Fierce Glamour | Beauty on Shine – Mon, Dec 5, 2011 10:09 AM ESTBeauty Guru Review: Braun Satin Hair Brush
By Michelle, The Fierce Glamour | Fashion – Fri, Sep 30, 2011 3:55 PM EDTThis month was all about the hair! I got to test the Braun Satin Hair brush with Active Ion Technology. I was pumped. Who can't use new hair brush, plus when it says "satin hair" who wouldn't be on board? Let's break it down.

The Braun Satin Hair brush boasts, "an active ion jet releases millions of active ions creating a halo around your hair. Active ions work very much like a conditioner. They instantly tame frizz and flying hair for touchable smoothness compared to brushes without Active Ion Technology."
My first hair that used Ion technology was amazing for my hair....so I was hoping this would have the same kind of major change. IT DOES!! After the first brushing, you can immediately tell a difference. My hair was softer and smoother than it is when I use a product. For my hair, it isn't a brush I can use multiple times a day. It got too greasy, too fast. BUT this brush is perfect for "finishing" your hair style. If you want a sleek pony, use it. A sleek hair down style, use it!Beauty Guru Post: Skin Truth, How Sensitive Are You?
By Michelle, The Fierce Glamour | Fashion – Wed, Aug 17, 2011 5:13 AM EDTDuring the last few years, I've come to realize (the hard way of course!) that I have sensitive skin! It's especially been bad lately when I've tried a different product. What?! How did this happen? Great questions, which I can't answer. But I here are a few ways I found out that I now need the "sensitive" formula of most products.
Soap/Body Wash
When I was 18, I had a bad rash reaction to Irish Spring bar soap. Enough to go to the doctor, bad. I then switched to body wash. Fast forward a few years….
After a report I saw on bar soap actually cleaning skin better and being cheaper, I switched back to a bar. (You didn't know I was a cheapskate did ya?) This time I chose Dove. I mean, Dove does market itself as moisturizing "good for skin" brand.
Now, my skin is used to my bar soap! A few days ago, I switched to body wash. Sure enough, I broke out on my collar bone and arms! My preferred Dove bar is the Go Fresh Cool Moisture Beauty Bar. The cucumber scent is fresh

By Michelle, The Fierce Glamour | Fashion – Tue, Jul 19, 2011 6:06 PM EDTAre you hard on your clothes? Do you give away alot of stuff through out the year because its faded or thinned? Has something been ruined from colors bleeding?
I don't. I take certain steps in laundering my clothing to keep it looking brand new and lasting for years! Here are a few of my secrets!
Don't automatically wear and wash.
If I only wear a top/dress/skirt for 2 to 3 hours, didn't sweat or get any stains on it. I hang it back up. Washing/Drying is hard on fabric. I usually get 2 wears out of a piece then wash it.
Throw in a color trapping agent!
I use Shout Color Catchers in every load of laundry that I do.
Color Catchers
I swear by these! Since I started using them about 4 years ago I haven't had any laundry mishaps. NO BLEEDING! Woolite also has a similar product called "Dye Magnet" I've never used it, so I can't vouch for its use. Even if you don't separate your laundry, these are a MUST! After pulling bright colored clothes out of the washer, the color catcher

By Michelle, The Fierce Glamour | Work + Money – Thu, Jun 30, 2011 7:18 PM EDTThis weekend is a LONG weekend! Yay! And it's time to celebrate the 4th of July!
What are you going to be wearing this weekend?
I'm probably going to be wearing a casual dress or romper. Personal preference but, I find them much cooler than shorts. Here are a few things I'm dreaming of:
What's more American than denim?
This dress reminds me of the prairie in all the right ways!

I'd pair this with a big 'ole red statement necklace!
The last two dresses are my favorites:
Or maybe I'll try a romper, like one of these:
With almost all of these, I would throw on a pair of flat sandals, big hoop earrings, a large bangle, throw my hair up in a high bun an, top with my favorite pair of sunnies, and call it a day! What are you wearing this weekend? Have a fun & safe weekend!
HAPPY 4th of JULY!

By Michelle, The Fierce Glamour | Fashion – Fri, Jun 24, 2011 4:14 PM EDTAre you as obsessed with pattern/print mixing as I am? I love looking through my favorite blogs & magazine to see how they mix florals, prints, and patterns together! But when it comes to wearing it myself, I get stumped. I'm afraid I'm going to look stupid or just plain confused about what to put together.
Well I've conquered my fear a few times and found some laugh proof (and EASY!) ways to mix patterns!
1. Mix your print with stripes!Your stripes can be used as a neutral. Try something easy like a black/white striped shirt and pair it with any kind of print. You can't go wrong! Add a striped cardigan on top of a printed dress. Accentuate a printed top with a light weight striped scarf. Or pair a striped top with printed bottoms. Find a striped item that has the same colors as your print. Staying in the same color family ensures a more cohesive look! EXAMPLE: If you have a Navy/Red striped shirt, add a red based print skirt.

By Michelle, The Fierce Glamour | Fashion – Wed, Jun 22, 2011 11:54 PM EDTThis time around us Beauty Guru's were sent Gillette Venus Proskin Moisture Rich Razors to test! Since it's the start of summer, this razor couldn't have come at a better time!
Proskin_package
At first glance, the razor reminded me of the Schick Intuition razor. (Remember? Jewel's song of the same name was ALL over the commercials?) I had that razor forever ago and didn't like it. But I was willing to give this one a chance with its "MoistureRich shave gel bars are enhanced with a triple blend of body butters, which create a layer of protection for your skin with every stroke" (fact sheet*). After all, I have other Venus brand razors and they are my favorite.
I've used this razor for the whole month of June and it's amazing! The past few months I've had to shave my legs sitting on the side of the tub because shaving in the shower equaled nicks, cuts, and missed hairs! Not with this razor. Shaving cream isn't needed because of the built in moisture bars. My shower time has been cut down

By Michelle, The Fierce Glamour | Fashion – Thu, Jun 16, 2011 4:30 PM EDTWhen you think of NEON, what comes to mind? The 80′s of course! Big hair and neon everywhere!
Well, neon colors are back this summer with a vengeance! Big name brands like Burberry Prorsum, Jil Sander, and Max Mara all included neon on their runways for S/S '11! Wearing this trend isn't easy though. Do you really wanna look like an extra from Valley Girl?
That answer is NO. Here are a few tips to wear the Neon trend and not look like you stepped out of an 80′s music video!
- DO use NEON in your cosmetics! If you're not ready to wear neon colored clothing, incorporate the trend in your lipstick or nail color. Try a bright hued lipstick. Stila Cosmetics has some great long lasting lip color in shades like Exhilarating (a hot pink) and Outrageous (a neon coral).

These aren't shoes or dresses, these are practical things that will actually benefit you. So here we go!
Your Six Summer Must-Haves
A Good Strapless Bra
Photo via Victoria Secret
High heat means tiny or no straps on blouses and tops. My 3 year old strapless bra has become my best friend! Don't just run in and buy one. Take your time and pick one that works for you! I needed wire support and a demi cup. Mine is from Victoria Secret and is similar to the one above. I didn't mind paying a little more for a good bra that has lasted and worked! Another option a sticky bra. One that sticks only to your boobs letting you wear backless tops and dresses. Adhesive Options: Invisible Uplift, NuBra, Push Up Perks
