For many, Spider-Man 3 was a bit of a letdown and many critics predicted the end of the movie franchise. However, The Amazing Spider-Man in 3d truly delivers. This is particularly impressive considering that it had to compete with releases such as Prometheus, The Dark Knight Rises, and The Avengers, all aimed at the same market.

There is little not to like in The Amazing Spider-Man in 3d it is well made and thoroughly enjoyable. The plot is easy to follow, the characters are well developed, much more so than in Spider-Man 3, and the combination of teen drama and super hero antics is still a winning one. The casting is also spot on, with Andrew Garfield as a true embodiment of the nerdish Peter Parker from the comics. However, Emma Stone steals the show with her great performance as Gwen Stacy. She makes a strong couple with Andrew Garfield and the fact that Gwen Stacy is in love with Peter Parker is completely believable thanks to her performance.

In The Amazing Spider-Man in 3d,
