    • Get It Guide Gurus: The best fitness DVDs

From swinging a kettlebell to shaking my hips, these four workouts had a wide range of movements in store. And after devouring a gazillion sweets over the holidays, I was ready to do almost anything to burn some serious calories. Except burpees.

I describe my fitness level as: I'm in pretty good shape, although I've been slacking a bit through the busy holiday season.
I exercise: 4-5 times a week and I walk to work every day - it's just one mile round trip, but every little bit helps.
My usual reaction to fitness DVDs is: Do I really want to do the same exact workout and hear the instructor's commands in precisely the same order over and over? For a restless exercise soul like me, I'm usually bored after repeating the routine a few times. Still, they come in handy when I don't want to leave the house to workout.

On a scale of barely sweat to totally-kick-butt, this workout is: Somewhere in the middle. It was a good workout, but since I'm

    • Hottest holiday toys

This toys assignment came at the perfect time. I don't have kids of my own, but I was heading home for the Thanksgiving holiday where I'd be surrounded by my nieces and nephew, who, of course, all adore their Aunt Sasa. Especially when she brings along the hottest holiday toys.

      Monster High dollsCleo De Nile

The price of this toy is: A little too high ($19.99) for this funky creature, but not bad if you can find her on sale for $15-ish.
This toy would be great for: Cool ghouls who are into the Monster High trend, however the whole thing got started.
The benefits of this toy seem to be: It's nice to see unusual looking dolls instead of the typical Barbies. And Cleo De Nile is definitely an interesting find. She also looks amazing for her age — I hear she is 5,842 years old!
The downsides are: She's a little "creepy and weird," according to my 6-year-old niece. But "less creepy" than the other Monster High dolls, and definitely less creepy after you play with her for awhile.

    • Get It Guide Gurus – Jeans

I've been eying wide leg jeans ever since their recent comeback. Yes, they're a little retro, but in a cool hip way. Of course, jeans have to fit just right. And as I tested the four Get It Guide choices, I had a clear favorite... with a lot of flair.

      My body type is: Petite/Apple.

      Lucky Brand

Fit: Like a glove. I couldn't find them in a petite size so they were a little long, but I loved the style and all over fit. These were my fave of the four brands.
Texture/color is: Soft, comfortable, stylish dark denim.
Make me feel: Hip… and a little lucky.
Would wear to: A night out with my girlfriends or dinner out with my husband.
I'd recommend to: All my BFFs because I want them to look good, too.
I feel the price is: Worth it. Especially with some clever math. The pair I tried was $119 at Macy's, but with a 20%-off coupon, they would be $95. And that's about all I'll fork over for jeans.

      True Religion

Fit: Very comfortable and stylish stretch denim.
Texture/color is: They felt like butter. Or
