Following a bad breakup, I have found myself single for the past three years. While, I am human, and have experienced the crying, and the pain and long, sleepless nights filled with thoughts of torching his car and new "fiancee"... I am in a much better place. While I am ready to date again, I find that the environment offers an incredible shortage of eligible, single men who are also ready to date.
So, in order to fight a downhill battle, versus the uphill battle which was costing me too much emotional energy, I decided to develop a plan to cope. Of all the solutions to dealing with breaking up, the one most prevalent: I just needed to learn how to BE SINGLE.
While being in a "good" relationship is always good, because companionship is needed... and its always good to have someone there... Being single is not a death sentence. Being alone is an opportunity to experience your own dreams and desires.

1. Face Time: Trade in the 10 minutes you use in the morning figuring out what to wear for taking care of your face and bringing out the beauty in its features: Get a facial (exfoliate, cleanse, tone and moisturize). If you do not wear make-up, applying some Oh Baby or Sinnamon lipglass or lip lustre by MAC will add some sheer sexy to your lips. Some liquid liner over the top lid and some mascara to separate and add volume and length to lashes will add some intense sexy to your clean face. Eyebrow shapes and arches give a great contour and topline for a bright, summery shade of eyeshadow.
2.I went to the MAC counter in search of an alluring eye shadow scheme which was different than my normal shades of dark brown and shimmery white... I wanted some electric purple. It looked odd at first- but then, she applied some liquid liner (God forbid my eye melts out if it drips), and taught me a new way to apply mascara which makes it look like i have lashes after all...

I am not a make-up wearer. But when I have to put on something, its MAC. I only wear make-up for special occassions, so, needless to say, I am not that big on mascara either. Although, when I must wear Mascara, I am always good for two brands, Maybelline and Mary Kay.
My mom always told me you only have to make sure your eyes are pretty because its the first thing people look at when they speak to you. And when you respond you should hold their attention- with your eyes.
One day, on a whim, I decided to try individual lashes. And I mean, this was outstanding work I saw this young lady do in a Chicago spalon, I was immediately intrigued by that "sexy" factor- that "it" factor lashes could bring to my image and attitude.
At $55 a pop- I was immediately sucked in by this peculiar fixation with keeping my lashes up. Returning every 2-3 weeks to have them filled-in for $25 seemed so worth it. I mean,I am a beautiful size 18/20- and a beautiful woman. I take great pride in my body and my image.

Sometimes, I look at thinner women who are curvy- and beautiful (too)- and wonder what it has to be like to look like everyone else walking down the street whose a perfect size 6 or 8- and turning heads of men for their great looking physique's. My hat goes off to you! I applaud how you can find inexpensive clothes that look great on you.
I am a 18/20- and I work out 3 times a week, I eat good food, I drink plenty of water and get my 6-8 hours of shut eye every night. I give myself regular facials- and pay some pretty privileged visits to the spa for a great scrub, rub down, mani and pedi. And also key- which puts me right in line with the size 6-ers and 8-ers... I look good in my clothes. Why? I never skimp on quality when it comes to undergarments that fit.
