    • Five ways to accentuate your curves

We’re happy to say that these days the fashion world seems to be embracing girls with curves—otherwise known as real women!—and the options for flaunting your shape— in a stylish, flattering way, of course — have never been better. You always hear us talk about maximizing your assets, but what does that mean you should do when you open your closet? In this episode celebrity style expert and body-shape guru Jacqui Stafford runs down her tips for enhancing an hourglass look and creating the illusion of one!

It’s amazing how much of a difference a few small adjustments can make. Here are five dressing tips that will dramatically improve your look:

      Don’t hide! Emphasize

The worst thing you can do is wear big, baggy, shapeless clothing which, as Jacqui says, will only make you look “big, baggy, and shapeless!” That doesn’t mean wear everything skin-tight. Somewhere in the middle is the ideal. Go for cuts that show off your shape in flattering ways.

    • 5 simple remedies for soft and smooth winter skin

Every year we adjust our wardrobes for the cold. But as we’re breaking out the jackets and boots, we’re often overlooking the fact that we need to adjust our beauty routines, too. The colder months take more of a toll on our skin than we realize. The good news is a few simple tweaks to our regimens can make a big difference. In this episode we highlight five easy fixes that will get you through the cold, dry season with smooth, happy skin.

      Shorten your showers

I know. They feel great. But long, hot showers actually remove moisture from your skin and can leave it dehydrated. We’re not saying you should stop showering-- just speed up the process.

      Get sharp about shaving

Shaving can irritate your skin, especially if it’s already dry. Make sure to incorporate shaving cream and change the blades in your razor often so they won’t get dull.

      Moisturize everywhere

Most of us are pretty good about moisturizing our faces but we forget that the rest of our bodies needs the same

    • Forget the wedding dress: try these budget-friendly Twilight accessories

It's not Royal Wedding level secrecy but it’s pretty close. In a few days when The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn: Part 1 opens on November 18th, Bella Swan’s wedding gown will finally be revealed. We already know a few facts about the dress. No Sarah Burton. Carolina Herrera, who has designed wedding gowns for Renée Zellweger and Christina Hendricks, was called upon to create the confection. It’s “romantic” and, according to Kristin Stewart herself, “very tight.” We also know that we’ll soon be able to buy an exact replica produced by Alfred Angelo. Not all of us are in need of a wedding gown, however, but everyone can always use some cute, affordable accessories. The options are impressive and plentiful but it seems Hot Topic, the company that specializes in edgy fashion inspired by music and pop culture, has cornered the market on trendy trinkets to tantalize the Twihard community. Here's a sampling in case you want to stock up for your trip to the theater:

Off camera, Nikki has a lot to smile about as well -- just last month she married Paul McDonald from "American Idol." • Hottest dresses this season for every occasion

Dresses aren’t just for dressing up. It sounds obvious but even though I live in sundresses during the summer when it gets cold I tend to think of them as ‘occasion’ pieces and revert to a predictable winter uniform of jeans, sweaters, and boots. This season I’m happy to report we’ve found so many affordable—and washable— styles out there that I'm revamping my winter dressing game plan. Check out our top five and let us know which is your favorite.

I think we’ve got every occasion covered here. This selection will help streamline your morning wardrobe decisions (pick out one piece and you’re done) and force you to add variety to your game. When you shop, pay attention to fabric—if you get a washable option and don’t have to pay for dry cleaning, you can splurge a little more on the garment!

      Sweater dress

There’s nothing more comfortable than a soft knit. Try bold horizontal stripes with flat leather boots for a cozy weekend look.

    • Best jackets for your body type

The secret to looking your best is to dress for your body type. When we caught up with Rachel Zoe, she stressed that dressing to flatter your particular shape -- rather than simply falling victim to trends -- is her No. 1 fashion rule. We talk about this a lot when it comes to jeans and other clothing but the same rule holds true for when you're shopping for jackets and coats. And since that's what we're all in the market for right now, we thought we'd give you a little shopping primer. In this episode we've rounded up the best picks for six different body types and asked Thread viewers to model them for you. Thanks, ladies!

Think about how much time we spend in our coats. They shouldn't be an afterthought, right? They should be comfortable and flattering! The cut of a jacket can really enhance your look. It can also to the opposite. i.e. make you look dumpy and shapeless. They key is to shop with your body type in mind and look for a jacket shape that provides structural balance and

    • Julianne Hough and Kenny Wormald get Footloose

Get out the cowboy boots and short shorts! We're pretty sure once everyone gets a look at singer-dancer-actress Julianne Hough doing her thing in "Footloose" there will be a run on red cowboy boots and tight denim, not to mention gorgeous brunette tousled locks. Julianne went darker to play Ariel Moore, the rebellious minister's daughter. We caught up with Julianne, who admits she adopted Ariel's sexy style off-camera during filming, as well as supermodel Andie MacDowell and newcomer Kenny Wormald, who plays transfer student Ren McCormack. See what they had to say about their character's style and why the film is more of a re-interpretation than a remake.

    • How to hide your problem areas

We all have them. Even famous actresses have them. They just know the tricks for emphasizing their assets and playing down the rest. What each person considers a problem area may be different. Some women may love flaunting their sizable bust while others may be looking to cover up and focus on their shapely legs. Those decisions are up to you. Whatever you decide, we have the perfect style advice. Watch this episode to find out the best way to "hide" six problem areas and create the illusion of a flawless figure.

We have to thank our models— six fabulous Thread viewers— for helping us illustrate our style points. It's amazing how much the shape of a skirt or the length of a sleeve can completely transform a person's look. Here are our style solutions broken down by "problem."

      Problem: Large bust

    • Kylie ventures into the dark side

I always think of Kylie as a platinum blonde even though, if you look at photos of the gorgeous Aussie pop princess, she's tried out pretty much every color you can think of since her "Locomotion" days. When we met her she basically had Goldilocks-style ringlets. We've seen her as a brassy redhead. When her hair was growing back after she underwent chemotherapy for breast cancer, a light blonde Mia Farrow-esque bob highlighted her impressive cheekbones.

Honestly, I can't decide which shade suits her the best. The reason she can effortlessly transition from light to dark is because when she makes a major hair change she also changes up her fashion and her makeup accordingly. I love the sassy honey blonde she sported last month at a GQ event, for example. This week while in Paris at the YSL fashion show, she debuted a darker auburn, which makes her aqua eyes pop and her alabaster skin glow.

Which Kylie do you prefer? Let us know by voting in our poll below.

    • Rachel Bilson’s Style Guide

Have you missed Rachel Bilson on TV as much as we have? We've been in love with her adorable, edgy style since her days on "The O.C." Thankfully, she's back this season with "Hart of Dixie," a new CW series where she plays Zoe Hart, a black-leather-wearing NYC doctor who is transplanted to the land of Scarlett O'Hara hoop skirts and super hot Southern gentleman, aka, Bluebell, Alabama. We spoke to Rachel about how Zoe's enviable wardrobe-- full of formfitting pieces from the likes of Chanel and Yigal Azrouel-- compares to her personal style choices and the message she hopes viewers will take away from Dr. Hart's fish-out-of-water scenario.
