Earth Day 2010
Earth Day is tomorrow, April 22nd. Start going green with your cleaning products, and make them yourself!
Save the following recipes from The Daily Green, break out your old rags and t-shirts (not paper towels!) and get your house in tip-top shape. Traditional cleaning supplies are filled with harsh chemicals that are neither good for you, nor for the environment. So, stop holding your breath while cleaning!Read More »from Get Organized: Make your own green cleaning supplies

The kitchen is undoubtedly an area of every house that will receive a good cleaning each spring. Cookbooks, recipe boxes, and even scraps of paper with directions scribbled on them can contribute to a lot of unnecessary clutter in kitchen cabinets and drawers. If you're the type to only use a handful of recipes from an unwieldy cookbook, or you have recipes scattered throughout the room, creating your own online cookbook with Springpad will help tackle the clutter.
Many of us are guilty of cramming our closets full of clothes we barely wear. Get your closet ready for summer by disposing of those tired garments that add bulk to your wardrobe. You can give your clothes a second life by giving them to your local donation center or second-hand store. Create a list in Springpad of possible donation centers and second-hand stores in your area before going through your wardrobe (and you'll have them for next year, too!). Knowing that you can help someone in need will help you get rid of things!
For many of us, much of our life is online. So, don't neglect your online life in your spring cleaning! Putting your computer files in 'the cloud' is very useful, especially if you are always switching between computers. If you're saving other stuff you come across in Springpad, why not save important computer files as well so you know it's all in one place? Once your files are in Springpad, you can access them anytime, anywhere, from any computer.

To lessen the clutter, put all of your favorite take out menus in Springpad.Read More »from Get Organized: Put all your take-out menus in Springpad
We've given you some interesting recipe theme lists lately, from macaroni & cheese to grilled cheese to Oreo cookies. And as we saw with the popularity of that last one, folks sure like to get clever in the kitchen with iconic packaged food brands. So we thought we'd backpedal from the dessert menu to the main menu and feature another staple American snack, Fritos Original Corn Chips. A snack-sized bag of these crunchy, salty nibblers works surprisingly well with common dishes across an array of cuisines, from Mexican to American to Italian. In fact, Fritos are so versatile that a couple of these recipes do push them into dessert territory.

Infomercials are a cornerstone of the American selling tradition. Late at night, you'll see enthusiastic pitchmen peddling their useful, unique or just-plain-kooky products to all who can't muster the energy to change the channel. Some of the items are actually really cool and practical. Others, like the Chia Pet, are just fun to look at. We've rounded up 20 infomercial products that actually work, so believe the hype and check them out.
