Even though June gloom is in full swing, I am still ready as ever to embrace this summer with open arms. Here are a few of my essentials that will help keep you looking and feeling cool for the summer heat.

Anyone who knows me, knows how fond I am of my beloved and oh so versatile denim jacket. So when Beauty Riot.com asked me to do a little blurb on their website, "I'm Obsessed With My..." it was an obvious choice for me. I joyfully accepted and assembled three different outfits all around my Levi's denim jacket.

For the first outfit, I pair my jacket with a belted navy floral dress and black strappy sandals, perfect for a casual dinner or cocktails.

The second outfit is much more laid back as I wear my denim with hunter colored shorts, a black and white thin stripe tank (both J . Crew), a brown woven leather belt and bronzed sandals.

The third is casual yet put sharp. I wear the jacket with white skinny jeans by Madewell, a black silk top and flat red sandals.

There is something simply fabulous about a shoe that is adorned with a bauble, a jewel or even a sparkle. A snazzy shoe can instantly vamp up an outfit and can be dressed up or down. Pair it with your favorite LBD and you are ready for a night out on the town. For a more relaxed look, wear it with shorts or your best fitted denim and a breezy silk top.
