Every year, The Heart Truth (a program of the National Institutes of Health) puts on a runway show at New York Fashion Week, enlisting the help of celebrities like Kelly Osbourne and Olympic gold medalist Gabrielle Douglas to model red designer dresses on the catwalk. More importantly, though, they are helping raise awareness for heart health by motivating other women to make positive choices to lower their risk for heart disease, and remind them that heart disease is preventable. It’s always an exciting, lively event and who doesn’t love fabulous fashion for a great cause?

Floral babydoll dresses -  Making a big comeback are floral dresses. These girly frocks made famous on shows like "Blossom" and "My So-Called Life," we like styling these looks with tights and either Mary-Jane platforms or of-the-moment ankle boots.

With every season comes new style guidelines, and winter has its very own set of fashion blunders. Cut-offs and thigh-high boots - Despite the flurry of celebrities choosing to wear this trend, this is a definite no. This pairing comes off looking a bit more "Pretty Woman" than pretty. If you want to try for shorts this winter, don't reach for your Daisy Dukes. Opt instead for a dark color layered over tights and wear with ankle boots or oxfords.

Leggings as pants - Don't get us wrong, leggings are fine for winter--as long as your top covers your behind. Just remember: leggings do not equal pants.
