Julee Morrison is a blogger who shares her wisdom with us at SheSpeaks.

My love for Bon Jovi has spanned 25 years. In fact, the older I become the greater that love becomes. My twitter handle @jonbonjovious has introduced me to many amazing people. It generates conversations that I imagine would not be ordinary otherwise.

Take the #SSTorani twitter party hosted by @SheSpeaksUp in November. At the end of the party I received a tweet declaring someone wanted to share with me their Bon Jovi experience. Trust me. It happens all. the. time. I love these stories. Some of them are downright fun and make me green in envy. This one; this one is different.

Heather, from Ten Kids Two Dogs, shared her story. Heather's story warmed my soul and brought tears of joy and pride at the outcome.

Her story begins with Heather in the hospital, having just delivered a son. (The woman's a saint having eight of her children each 11 months a part; but that's another story!) Heather's family

      campfire fun

It is winter time and though the weather in our area has been mild, we are already starting to get a little restless inside the house. One thing we love to do is bundle up the kids and make a campfire. The fresh air and smell of the wood burning invigorates the spirit. Of course with any good campfire comes the beckoning for a little treat. We love to toast marshmallows. Kraft now makes flat marshmallows that ease the mess at least a little bit. If you are really prepared, make some s'mores with friends. All you need are graham crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate. Of course be prepared to clean lots of sticky hands and faces!

Of course before having a campfire in your own back yard, remember to use a few safety tips:

      1. Make sure that your community allows for the use of a fire pit.

      2. Make sure the fire is contained and in an open area.

      3. Always supervise children around the fire.

    • Why Women Can't Be Funny on Letterman

Breaking into the world of comedy can be one of the most difficult endeavors a person can face, but add gender to the equation and the odds can be stacked almost impossibly high. A recent interview in the New York Times with The Late Show with David Letterman's comedy booker, Eddie Brill, shed a harsh light on how tough women comics actually have it.

In the interview it was revealed that Brill only hired one female comic to perform on Letterman's show in 2011. Brill explained why he hired mostly men last year saying, "There are a lot less female comics who are authentic. I see a lot of female comics who to please an audience will act like men."

Brill's comments regarding why women do not make good comics did not sit well with some and comic Jessica Kirson responded to his statement saying, "What does that mean? I like Eddie but the only way to make it as a female comic is to have strength and be assertive and confident."

Some may look at Brill's point of view and say

Vickie Cook is a blogger who shares her wisdom with us at SheSpeaks.

Growing up, I lived on and off with my grandparents along with my aunt and uncle. My uncle was invoved in an accident that left him blind around the age of 10. That did not keep him down; he ended up graduating high school, going on and graduating from Seminary School and evenutally becoming a minister and director for one of the top residential centers for the mentally and physically handicapped in Ohio.

He had to learn a new way to read and to communicate. It turned out to be a learning experience for the whole family. Of course, it took us a lot longer then it did my uncle. He began teaching himself Braille and over the years we all became proficient at it. Braille allowed us to correspond with my uncle after he left home through cards and letters. If we had not learned it, the loving cards and letters we sent to him would have had to have been read aloud to him.

As if fast food wasn't fast enough, Burger King is planning to make it even faster with a new home delivery option. The fast food giant is known for trying out experimental services (like adding booze to the menu) in a bid to keep up with rivals like Wendy's and McDonalds. Now BK is hoping their new home delivery service will be a hit with customers.

A recent report from the LA Times discusses the details of Burger King's plans for bringing burgers to your door. Currently home delivery is in trials and is only available in a handful of restaurants in Washington D.C. Customers can order online or call the store, there is a $2 delivery charge and a minimum order of between $8 and $10. Almost everything on the menu is fair game for delivery except fountain drinks, milk shakes, coffee and breakfast foods.

Keeping the fries crispy en route could be a challenge, but BK spokeswoman Kristen Hauser assures that "New delivery packaging technology, in conjunction with thermal bags,

Shalynne Addison is a blogger who shares her wisdom with us at SheSpeaks.

I don't know how the weather is where all you lovely readers are but it certainly has been wacky where I live! Even though it's January, we've had some unseasonably warm days, thunderstorms, snowfall - even a tornado watch! With the weather being so unpredictable, that means we are spending a lot of time inside - and consequently, I sometimes end up having to think outside the box to keep my kids entertained or to help them run off some of that excess energy. Here are some ideas of things you can do with your kids when the weather isn't cooperating:

      • Field trips are a great way to spend rainy, snowy or otherwise dreary days - assuming the weather isn't too bad to drive. The field trips don't necessarily have to be over the top expensive, either! Check out websites and blogs in your local area to find coupons or see what deals some of the local attractions offer. Zoos, children's museums, and more will

    • Did the SOPA/PIPA Protests Prove to Be a Success?

If you were among one of the 162 million who tried to visit Wikipedia on Wednesday you would have seen a dark screen explaining their 24-hour blackout in protest of the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and the Protect Intellectual Property Act (PIPA).

The site has been restored since then, but a BBC report explains how Wikipedia still plans to actively protest these bills that promote federal censorship of the internet. Though we now understand internet access as a human right , bills like SOPA and PIPA could give federal government the power to limit what we can legally access on the internet.

People who visited Wikipedia during the 24-hour blackout were given a link to find and contact their local politicians regarding these bills. About 8 million people reportedly utilized these links to contact politicians. Google reports that they were able to bring more than 4.5 million signatures to a petition opposing the bills.

Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg also threw himself into

    • Winnie the Pooh Day

Rachee Fagg is a blogger who shares her wisdom with us at SheSpeaks.

He's a tubby little cub all stuffed with fluff! He's a honey stealing, friendly bear not very smart but full of heart. He's Winnie the Pooh and today is his day! Since I work with children I thought that I could make Winnie the Pooh Day more than a passing fancy. Here are some of the ideas I liked to make this a the ultimate honey pot of a party!

Of course we need to have a Teddy Bear picnic! Yes, yes I am mixing up characters but think about it...Pooh lives deep in the hundred acres woods, he's a teddy bear, and he loves surprises! Gather a blanket, some friends, real and stuffed friends, and a picnic basket full of treats for a gathering.

Fill your basket with delicious honey recipes! Pooh is all about honey and loves his friends. He may be reluctant to share his pot of honey but he is always up for a party. The honey website has scores of recipes to share. My favorite is the Apple Snacksters. Apples,
