"Vicky" is a blogger who shares her wisdom with us at SheSpeaks.

As we go through life, almost all of us feel that if we stop what we are doing, it will never be completed or tomorrow we'll have even more to do. If it is not the tasks on our to-do lists, it is our relationships with our family, friends and co-workers and finding how to please them. When will you finally admit to yourself enough is enough?

The reality is there will always be more things for you to do tomorrow and you can not please everyone. Once you have the strength to admit that to yourself, then you can take the next steps in finding balance, relaxation and your inner zen. Thanks to SheSpeaks.com, I was offered the opportunity to be part of the "Cerra Be Aware, Act, Reflect™" program. This is the first step to find encouragement and light to your inner soul.

Cerra offers you the opportuntity to learn the Seven Intentions and to begin your journey with each breath you take. What I began to do is take one

    • Cleaning Silver Jewelry For Next To Nothing

Lisa Ghisolf is a blogger who shares her wisdom with us at SheSpeaks.

      silver cleaning setup

      Ingredients

      • water
      • salt
      • an aluminum plate (you can substitute aluminum foil)
      • water softener powder (you can substitute baking soda)

      Procedure

      1. Take an aluminum plate (or a regular plate covered with a piece of foil).
      2. Add 1 tablespoon of salt and 1 tablespoon of water softener powder (or baking soda).
      3. Then pour some hot (but not boiling) water onto the plate.
      4. Stir to dissolve the powders.
      5. Now you can dunk your silver in the solution.

How long do you need to keep your silver in the solution? The results may be immediate, or they may take a few minutes. However, if an item is very tarnished, this cleaning method will not make your jewelry perfectly clean and looking like new. Additional polishing will still be needed.

      Warning

We do not recommend this cleaning method for jewelry that has precious or semi-precious stones. Though after a little research

    • A Look at the Reality of Extreme Couponing

Amy Duran is a blogger who shares her wisdom with us at SheSpeaks.

As a long time couponer I have to talk about the TLC show Extreme Couponing. Like it or not, the show has changed couponing forever. We used to be the very rare minority and nobody paid any attention to us. We'd plan, gather our coupons, get the great deals, and build our stockpiles. Now when we go through a store other customers and the cashiers know you are a couponer, and have a strong opinion about who we are and what we do.

Along with the awareness in stores, there is the huge influx of new people who want to learn to coupon. I am constantly hearing new couponers saying "I want to be Extreme" and "I want to do it like they do on the show!" When I go to the store and pull out my coupons I always hear about "the show" and how I should be on it. This always hits a nerve with me, and the reason behind the discomfort is that the TLC Extreme Couponing show does not reflect reality. It gives people unrealistic

Lisa Ghisolf is a blogger who shares her wisdom with us at SheSpeaks.

Perhaps you're like me and forget to send cards. Or finances just don't allow you to send greetings to everyone on your list. What with Hallmark going pay-for-play on their excellent e-cards, and most e-card sites having some truly craptastic designs [sorry, that's as nice as i get with some of these monstrosities!], I've put together a list of great sites and who they serve:

For your fun/silly friends/coworkers or if your boss has a sense of humor/you want to get fired:

      More "traditional," good for granny:

This "working mother/wife, student, and business owner" shares her wisdom with us at SheSpeaks.

As I sort through the contents of my package received from SheSpeaks, I realize that I'm in need of a moment to myself. The house is quiet and there are no children at home. I'll drink a cup from the Art of Tea. I choose grounded, I think I could settle in on some "security". I tear the package open, I embrace the scents of the earth. The colors are so vivid and connected with those of fall, the colors I adore and admire. I snap a few photographs of the shades and then I heat my water. I snap another photograph as I place the bag to seep. As the color begins to infuse with the water, I get excited, what a beautiful shade of orange. I admire the many shades of orange. It resembles the changing of the seasons, a season I embrace wholeheartedly, as you begin to see orange in the trees, in the sky, on table tops, along the streets, Halloween and through Thanksgiving, before the orange

    • The Gray is Back

"Diary of a Mad Woman" is a blogger who shares her wisdom with us at SheSpeaks.

Yes folks my Root Rescue, which I put in 7 weeks ago, has worn off and my gray is a showing.

However, this time it didn't really do as good as it did the last time, despite the fact that I followed the directions and left it on for the right amount of time.

Part of me wants to just leave it alone and let nature take its course but the other part of me says, "You're 46 years old and don't really look it, so why should your hair." Besides isn't 46 kind of young to be turning gray?

Actually, mine is more like silver than gray, which means it should look pretty good. That's if it stays that color.

My grandmother on my dad's side had snow white hair and her husband had silver hair. My dad has gray hair. My mom and her side of the family dye their hair until they, well, die. So, I have absolutely no idea what hair color is on that side of the family.

I know that women all over the

    • Who better to take coupon-clipping advice from than a single mom raising 8 kids, right? Though Kate Gosselin's bank account probably looks significantly different than most of ours, she's definitely been around the block when it comes to scrimping and saving to provide for her large family.

So it makes sense that the "Kate Plus 8" star has a new gig blogging for a website called Coupon Cabin where she offers her money-saving advice to families across the country. The reality mom has also been photographed in the past using coupons for personal shopping and tells E!, "No matter how much money you have, it's just smart to use coupons. It's like free money in your pocket."

Gosselin says she started clipping coupons before becoming a mom and apparently the habit stuck. Gosselin explains, "One week, I remember saving more than half my grocery bill that week with coupons. I was beyond thrilled." And, as many couponing pros out there already know, an experience like that is all

    • Were You Dreaming of a White Halloween?

Just as many regions in the Northeast recover from the effects of Hurricane Irene a freak October snowstorm brought on high winds, rain, and…the white stuff. CNN reports that Saturday's storm is being blamed for at least 5 deaths and has left more than 2.3 million without power. Though electric crews are now working to restore power, it may be a while until everyone is back up and running.

Thousands of children woke up to an early snow day on Monday and commuters had a rough time dealing with downed trees and power lines on their way in to work.

For some of the kids in Massachusetts, Halloween had to wait. Residents in Worcester, Massachusetts are being asked to celebrate Halloween trick-or-treating on today or Friday when temperatures are expected to be in the 60's. The city released a statement on Sunday saying, "Safety doesn't take a holiday. Halloween tomorrow night will put families and our youth in harm's way as they negotiate piles of snow and downed limbs."

With the cooler weather coming in most of us have already bid adieu to the seasonal summer sandals. Though we may have to do without our sexy slingbacks for a few months, many of the fall and winter shoe fashions are a welcomed change. Our members share some of their favorite everyday footwear for the season that are both cute and comfortable.

      Earth Lodge Boots
Members find this boot both stylish and warm for those blustery days. Furry on the inside for slipper-soft comfort and suede on the outside give these boots the look of sheer comfort. Though the price tag is a bit hefty for some to swallow, others are willing to shell out the dough for durability. Member blueeyes1 comments, "I needed a boot for winter that would keep my feet warm and also look stylish. I love my Earth Lodge boots - they keep me warm and snuggly and with the side zipper are easy to get on and off. Great traction keeps me safe when walking. The boots come with Earth's negative heel which makes

    • Down Syndrome Awareness: Get To Know My Kid

Gina Badalaty is a blogger who shares her wisdom with us at SheSpeaks.

When I was pregnant with Amelia, I was absolutely convinced that this baby, from conception, was "meant to be" and therefore did no amniocentesis or CVS. Everything about my pregnancy was amazing: The long string of coincidences that allowed me to find my OB, the dedication of that amazing doctor who discovered the cause of my stroke some years earlier, and the preventative care that got me safely through labor, delivery, and post-partum.

After she was born, imagine my shock when doctors "suspected" something was up and took her off to have a karyotype blood test to look for chromosomal damage. By this point, I'd learned enough to know that if a baby as healthy and together as mine had some chromosomal issues, it could only mean one thing: Down syndrome. When I finally got the results a few weeks later, I broke down and spiraled into an 8 month depression. Why would God let this happen? Wasn't she meant to
