So, it goes something like this. I will be with a good friend and suddenly they'll get very excited and tell me how much they want to introduce me to their best friend. Hmm, I wonder what does that make me -less than best, good, lukewarm, or even easily replaceable?
In what area, I'd like to know, do I come up short? Or, is best friend simply a label given to those that have known us for the longest period of time?
I think about this some more. I have go-to friends for different reasons. There is one friend who I call when I want to laugh, another that I go to see when I want some advice, and yet another that I love to see because we share so many memories that we rehash. Best, hmm, I'm just not sure.
