Editor's Note: The following is a guest post written by Emily Giffin, author of Something Borrowed and four other best-selling novels. For more from Emily, like her on Facebook.
Last Fall, I was in a coffee shop, trying to write, when I struck up a lively conversation with a charmingly suave, but not too suave, guy on an adjacent fireside couch. He had nice hair, warm eyes, and was wearing satisfyingly distressed Levi's paired with manly boots - part cowboy, part John-Varvatos cool.
Through our chat, I learned that he was single and looking for, in his words, "a kind girl." I swooned in a married-girl sort of way, and then, on a whim, snapped his photo with my phone. Later that afternoon, I posted it on my Facebook fan page, sure that there would be some takers in the 404. Within an hour, there were over two-hundred comments from girls in Atlanta and all over the country. Parker Estep became an instant cult figure on my page, and my moonlighting matchmaking career was born.

Today we may revel in sin, but not everything will be forgiven tomorrow. The seven deadly sins of relationships are like dating dealbreakers, only with the ante significantly upped. They can damn a relationship just when it begins or after years of commitment. And not just on Mardi Gras!
- Fighting unfairly: There's no nice way to fight, but it must be done. You don't want to be a dirty fighter; nor do you want to be in a relationship with one. Watch out for instigating, using sarcasm, fighting to win instead of finding a solution, changing the subject, or just plain ignoring the problem (or person).
- Holding grudges: For both people to move on, the offended person must see remorse, and the perpetrator must feel no grudge is being held. If you have to hash it out for hours or take a few weeks to think, do it. It's healthier than holding a grudge.
- Refusing to depend on the other: We all want to maintain some independence in a relationship, but if you want 100
What Colors to Wear on a First Date (Not All at Once!)
By TresSugar | Love + Sex – Thu, Mar 17, 2011 2:27 AM EDT
I'd say choose whatever color you look best in for a first date, but Match.com says the psychology of color disagrees. We know women are attracted to men in red and vice-versa, but what do other colors say? Fortunately, there are shades that say "come here" without going as far as come-hither red. Find out which color is best for you - and what colors we all should avoid - below.
- Red: Of course, this shade tops this list. Bright red will say "here I am!" while deeper, more subdued shades should say "I'm here, for now."
- Orange: It's bright, even when it's not, and it signifies hope, aspiration, and attraction. But according to Match it also says "you don't have an off switch when it comes to passion." I'm not entirely sure if this is a polite way of saying "easy," but I'll leave it to your discretion.
- Green: Whether it's bright or earthy, green is all about energy, life, and growth. It's a youthful color that says "nice person ahead" and a can't-go-wrong way to
What Odd Mementos Did You Keep From Your Wedding?

Keeping the wedding dress, bouquet, or invitation is expected, but now The New York Times is calling out a new trend: keeping something unexpected.
Some out-of-the-wedding-book mementos require planning, but I'd say the best ones are spontaneous, like the couple who kept a Spider-Man water squirter that was a prize from a box of Froot Loops guests opened to use as confetti in a makeshift, postceremony parade. One bride went all Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants for her destination wedding by sending her wedding-day shoes to all her female friends who couldn't make it for signatures.
And then there are the unexpected mementos that start traditions. One couple kept a jar of rain from their wedding day, which they've since used sparingly to baptize their children. A little water remains, but the woman has begun collecting rain for other couples with stormy-day weddings. Sunny-dayers, you're on your own!
So planned or not, if you're married did you keep anything out of the ordinary? And

Opposites personalities may attract, but so do physical lookalikes. Yes, not only are we attracted to people who look like us, but we're attracted to people who resemble our opposite-sex parents. Personally, I think people just run in homogeneous circles and familiarity breeds comfortableness, but science disagrees. It's not just about hair and eye color or personal style, but facial structure.
FindYourFaceMatch.com is a dating site prepping to launch next month (its URL doesn't even work yet) that's like a celebrity doppelgänger generator meets every other dating site. Instead of starting with your interests, it begins with facial-recognition technology by Face.com, which focuses on nine points of the face - eyes, ears, nose, chin, and the corners and center of the mouth. It then runs your stats through Find Your Face Match's database and voilà! A list of eligible bachelors who resemble you awaits.
Afterward, you can weed out lookalike duds by doing the standard dating-site searchBest Actresses Who Won For Playing Empowering Women

As soon as that ring's on your finger, the big-day countdown begins, and it's overwhelming to say the least! There are so many to-do lists, people to call, and appointments to be made, it's enough to turn a sane bride-to-be into a basket-case. As a recently engaged gal myself, I know how scary it can be. Just days after the proposal I logged in to The Knot to see 100 things I was behind on already and 200-plus things I needed to do (and had a similar reaction as Kristen Wiig's character in the Bridesmaids trailer). So how 'bout we take a big breath together, and start small? I asked Ashlyn Carter of event planning and design company Carter & Cook Event Co. what she would start off with, and she had some helpful advice. With our combined efforts, here are the first five must dos for a bride-to-be:
- "Set the budget." This is huge, because it's how you'll know how much you can spend on every big and little detail, from the cocktails to the photographer. Talk with parents if they are
The Full Picture: Actors Who Have Bared All
By TresSugar | Love + Sex – Wed, Feb 23, 2011 3:25 AM EST
A new study found that male nudity makes both women and men uncomfortable. Upon looking at a photo of a nude man, men in the study responded with extreme disinterest or assertions of their heterosexuality, while many women felt guilt or shame. I'd imagine the constant exposure to barely clad women has desensitized us, while few opportunities to glance at the unclothed male form keeps us uneasy. You can see these results and perhaps the cause when you go to the movies: on-screen female nudity barely makes us blush since it's so common, while we rarely get a chance to squirm in our seats at the sight of an undressed man. But some male actors are doing their part to stop the bias against male nudity by showing off, well, their parts! Here are 10 mainstream actors who have gone full-frontal on the big screen. You might find a few movies to add to your Netflix queue.
