Infograph: What Men and Women Really Think About Valentine's Day

By TresSugar | Love + Sex – Wed, Feb 16, 2011 11:44 PM ESTAs a Bachelor fan who looks forward to the ridiculous drama every Monday night, I've always found it impressive that alumni Trista and Ryan Sutter have maintained a healthy relationship. Then I found out that the pair, who have been married for seven years (an eternity in reality-TV relationships), work hard on their marriage. Putting bashfulness aside, the couple signed up for The K-Y Brand Intimacy Experiment, a 10-day relationship boot camp meant to help couples reignite the spark both inside and outside the bedroom. Some of the challenges are less risqué than you'd think. For example, couples are encouraged to turn their bedroom into a "love nest" by removing clutter or anything else that can cause stress or distraction.

TrèsSugar readers post all types of unique and detailed questions in our community Group Therapy. But we also see some repeat players, including a variation of this reader question: "What can I do to increase my libido? Should I just have sex even when I don't feel like it?" I decided to go to sexologist Dr. Ian Kerner, author of She Comes First: The Thinking Man's Guide to Pleasuring a Woman, for his expert opinion. He says that lack of female sexual arousal could be a physical condition, caused by stress, medication, or a specific disease like diabetes or MS. So it's important to check with your doctor. Beyond a physical issue, a mental block about your relationship could also result in a low libido. If that's the case, here's Dr. Kerner's advice:
Are you happy with your relationship overall, or is the lack of libido a symptom of your attitude toward the situation? Do you find yourself sexually attracted to other men, but then that feeling seems to disappear when it comes to Sex and the City Redux: 10 Misconceptions About Love
By TresSugar | Love + Sex – Wed, Feb 9, 2011 9:16 PM ESTValentine's Day is right around the corner! While some of our favorite TV shows prepare for the big day, we thought we'd take a look back at one series that's always revolved around love: Sex and the City. The fabulous foursome has definitely dished out sound relationship theories over the years (mo
Celebrity Dating Advice From the Millionaire Matchmaker
By TresSugar | Work + Money – Wed, Feb 9, 2011 8:58 PM EST
This morning I interviewed Millionaire Matchmaker Patti Stanger about dating, celebrity romance, and her new DVD, Married in a Year. While later I'll tell you what dating tips she has for us commoners, I thought first you'd like to hear her thoughts on celebrity dating.
In classic Patti style, she pinpoints the celebrity dating dilemma without a coat of sugar. "Who do they meet? They're not going to date the cameraman. The only person who's done that is Julia Roberts, and she stole him from another man's wife. So it's like who do they really meet on a daily basis? They're meeting other actors, at the SAG Awards and the Oscars. It's like they're going to their high school reunion every year."
So on that note, let's see what she has in mind for Scarlett Johansson, Kim Kardashian, and Jennifer Aniston.
- Kim Kardashian: "Kim has dated a lot of athletes. Maybe she needs to get out of athlete land and go to something that's a little bit more substantial. A celebrity who's maybe

By TresSugar | Love + Sex – Thu, Jan 27, 2011 7:19 PM EST
Beyaz is the new birth control pill that contains prenatal vitamins. That's not a bad thing from a health standpoint, but it is counterintuitive for a pill taken to prevent pregnancy. Hey, who knows what women want? One day they don't want a baby; the next day they do.
In its commercial, Beyaz illustrates the choices women face in the great retail store of life. Young women are tempted by grad school, a trip to Paris, and a stork-like bird. While I doubt a birth control producer would be politically motivated, the ad implies if you do get pregnant you're going to have the baby, which sounds like an anti-choice agenda. I've broken down the commercial into screen-by-screen shots; it certainly show what Beyaz thinks, but what do you?

Read More »from Premarital Sex in America: Better For Men?
How does casual sex impact men and women differently? Why are Americans waiting longer to marry? How is the Internet changing modern relationships? These are some of the questions sociologists Mark Regnerus and Jeremy Uecker set out to answer in their new book Premarital Sex in America: How Young Americans Meet, Mate, and Think About Marrying. According to them, as it's increasingly easier for men to have sex with no strings attached, it becomes harder for women to find long-term relationships. We report on sex and relationship studies all the time, but this time we decided to go straight to the source and ask the researcher Mark Regnerus some questions. Here's what he had to say:
TrèsSugar: Women have been warned before that one-night stands and casual sex won't lead to serious relationships. What does your research add to the conversation that hasn't already been said?
Mark Regnerus: With individual persons, anything is possible. I deal in the realm of the probable. Sleeping with
