Debenham's 1.7 Ounce T-Shirt Bra

Okay, so you can't technically try this bra unless you're planning a trip to the United Kingdom this summer, but with the heat wave that's attacking us here in the U.S. a trip across the pond to fetch this 1.7 ounce bra from the British department store Debenham's might just be worth it.

According to WWD, the bras are so light because they are threadless. Instead of traditional stitching, the manufacturer uses "bonded seaming" which makes for a featherweight bra that's perfect for days when you'd rather go sans-bra. Oh, and did we mention this bra retails for only £18 (that's $29)?

Last week, the New York Times published a piece stating that Kate Middleton is no fashion icon - a term used to describe celebrities like Lady Gaga; rather, The Duchess of Cambridge is a "style icon" and apparently this designation comes with a lot of selling power.

At SHEfinds, we've dubbed it "The Kate Middleton Effect," which is what happens after she wears something in public: it sells out immediately. Just reporting on what she wore and where to get it during her North American tour was difficult because within hours of her being photographed in a piece, it would sell out!
