Does he like like you, or does he just want to be friends? It can be annoyingly difficult to figure this out. Here are seven signs he wants to be buddies, and nothing more.

      1. He Invites Other People to Hang Out with You Guys
You're so stoked that he called and invited you to check out the county fair with him...until you find out he's also invited three other people. If he wanted to be more than friends, he wouldn't share you with anyone else.

      2. His Emails Are Friendly, But to-the-Point

He emails you to set up a time to hang out, forward you an article, or occasionally to just see what you're up to. However, once the initial exchange of information is over, he won't try to prolong the conversation. A chain will last no more than two messages each.

      3. He Never Texts You First

And will sometimes take hours to respond to your text.

    • Dating Men: What Should Dudes Wear for Summer Dates?

      By Rosemary Brennan, Glamour magazine

It's a lot of fun chatting about the outfits we'd wear on first dates, but this afternoon, let's turn our sartorial eyes on the gents.

Match.com polled its users about appropriate and attractive attire to wear on summer dates and some of their findings weren't terribly surprising. Dudes enjoy seeing ladies in white pants or short skirts. But what I found most interesting was what the ladies had to say about men's fashion.

82% of women who participated in the survey felt that Hawaiian shirts were not cool, try telling that to my Grandpa. As for shades, the gals favored guy rocking aviators. And over 90% of the ladies polled said that "khakis or shorts with a polo shirt" was the outfit they most preferred dudes to wear on summer dates.

As our wonderful intern Krystin recently shared-and I completely agree-wayfarers are totally where it's at when it comes to

If opposites don't attract, what does your current guy or even worse your ex say about your personality?

See, I have this theory: I believe who you date, used to date-or even just hooked up with at the back of the club after three margaritas- has something to do with who you are as a person.

Now let me clarify (before you commenters grab the pitchforks). I don't mean they say something about your character but more of your state of mind at the time. And I know it sounds crazy, given that some of us have had a few too many regretful make-out sessions or horrible ex-boyfriends. But think about it: Have ever you noticed a trend in the guys you've dated?

My first ex was the typical bad boy. I was starting high school. He was going to high school #2 for fighting too much. I liked Mariah Carey. He liked Mobb Deep. I was into writing. He was into shoplifting. You get the point.

    • 11 Signs He’s Not Headed Toward a Relationship With You

      By Erin Meanley, Glamour magazine

This happens a lot: you're dating someone consistently and he seems to really like you, but you get the feeling he's not gunning for a committed relationship. So what are the specific signs that this guy-as pleasantly as things are going-does NOT plan to stick around long-term? I've seen the signs a million times, but just to confirm my suspicions, I asked an actual guy named Mike what he tends to do when he doesn't plan to end up in a relationship with someone he's dating. Here are 11 telltale signs:

He texts instead of calls, or he texts more often than he calls. When a guy likes a girl, he wants to hear her voice. "Texting is not an easy way to communicate-it's an easy way to avoid communication," says Mike.

      2. He finds reasons to blow you off or be late more times than not. Maybe he's just flaky or disorganized, you say? Don't make excuses. If a guy likes you and wants to continue hanging out with you,

The Daily Mail reports that researchers at UC Berkley believe "single men and women are drawn to potential mates who are in their league in terms of looks and desirability. And they are much less likely to pick a partner who comes from a different social or economic background - putting Hollywood love stories such as Pretty Woman and My Fair Lady firmly in the realm of fiction." Say what?!

After monitoring "unsolicited messages received by 3,000 members of an online dating website," the researchers found that "high popularity users," that is, individuals who received tons of winks, pokes, and private messages were more likely to contact other high popularity users. And "low popularity" users were more likely to contact other low popularity users. A follow up

Flashy fireworks and sparklers can be a whole lot of fun, but if you'd like to celebrate with your boyfriend in a more intimate (and less flammable) fashion, peep these ideas for creating fireworks without leaving the comfort of home.

      1. Run through your backyard sprinklers.
Slip into your bathing suits and get old school.

      2. Or, if your neck of the woods is still feeling a bit chilly, draw a warm bubble bath for the two of you to share.

      3. Turn the lights down low and watch your favorite movie together. You can share popcorn, recite your favorite lines and smooch like you're in an empty theater.

Over the weekend, a friend was pumped for a first date. The fellow was going to pick her up and then take her out to dinner. Seems pretty straight forward, right? Well, about an hour before the dude was to pick her up, he called and said he hadn't made any plans or reservations for dinner. He also asked her for suggestions.

Sure, two single people meeting up for a date often plan the soiree together, but this time around, the dude had said he'd pick out the restaurant. Frustrated, my friend suggested the most expensive restaurant she knew with plans to order the most expensive thing on the menu. However, once the date started, the two hit it off. And she decided to go with a reasonably priced dish instead of the $30 steak she planned on ordering.

      By Sarah Jio, Glamour magazine

A new report based on census data and a survey of 55,000 people is showing the changes in marriage and divorce since the 1940s. One of the biggest findings is that almost half of all women ages 25-29 have never walked down the aisle. In 1986, only a quarter of women in that group had never married.
