I've never gone so far as to move in with a guy just to cut the rent in half, but I've known some friends who have. I thought they were crazy, but it turns out they're not alone…
Reports show that the worse the economic news, the more people seem to seek out love-and less people get divorced. On days the Dow dropped by 100 points or more, eHarmony's pages were viewed many more times than on days when the Dow went up by that same amount! (Hey, maybe we should ask Single-ish blogger Erin what inspired her to join eHarmony? Was it her bank account?!)
The cynic in me says there's more love in a recession because married people can't afford to get divorced, and single people want to find someone to share the bills with… but my romantic side says people want support and love in stressful times.
What's your take? What's the relationship between love and money?
