[Shine's daily spotlight of the most jaw-dropping (or adorable) photo from today's news. We don't even have the words for it, do you?]
A baby Asian elephant, born two days ago at the Tierpark Berlin zoo in Germany, was photographed learning to walk on his wobbly three-toed legs. In this moment, he'd lost his balance and his mommy, Nova, used her trunk to help him back up.

If you've ever looked at a sleeping baby and wondered what the heck is going on in her brain, you're not alone. It's a question comes up a lot on internet searches, and only a little in scientific research, since babies don't make the most communicative subjects. To find out what the average baby might be dreaming of, we went to the source: Dr. Edward Kulich, a pediatrician specializing in children's sleeping habits and author of the The Best Baby Sleep Book.
"Since we know that babies experience REM sleep, the stage of sleep most commonly associated with dreams, we can assume that infants assimilate their daily experiences," Kulich tells Shine. So what parts of their day might come up in their dreams? "Feeding, smelling, eliminating, feeling warm and cozy, hungry, or bored, or theBrad Pitt is New Face of Chanel No. 5. Makes Beauty History!

Last night Tyra Banks went where no smokey eye has gone before. At a gala event for the The Moth storytelling series, the model mogul looked like she applied her eyeshadow with a paint-roller. Either that or someone needs to call a Ghostbuster. So This Happened...Marilyn Monroe Rises Again

Last night while you were sleeping, Marilyn Monroe's giant torso was hoisted up the side of a Chicago high-rise. The 26-foot-tall sculpture of the American icon has spent the past year hovering over the crowded Magnificent Mile district of the Windy City. She's now set to travel west to Palm Springs, California where she'll serve as public art in a new state for another 12 months.
Because of her enormous size (she weighs 40,000 pounds) she had to be split in two pieces and hauled out of the city by a crane. Not pictured: Marilyn's legs, waiting patiently for a lift. Most Surprising Portraits of 2012 Olympic Athletes (or the 9 People I'm Rooting for This Summer)
By Piper Weiss, Shine Staff | Healthy Living – Mon, May 7, 2012 8:31 PM EDTWhile every single competitor headed to London has superhero chops, a few take a really awesome picture. NBC's official Olympics site has portraits of every 2012 athlete headed for the games. Most are just as you'd expect: face forward, dressed in a team uniform, looking serious. But a handful of official bio portraits don't follow the pack. If they gave out gold medals for most attitude in a single snapshot, these guys would make a clean sweep.

Happy National Chimney Sweep Day! (Don't tell me you forgot again, Dick Van Dyke.) If you live anywhere near Rochester, England, May 7 is all kinds of special. For 400 years, town has played host to a festival honoring those hard-working soot cleaners so fondly stereotyped in technicolor in the 1960s. It's a chance to show sweeper pride, haul out a big bristle brush, rub charcoal on your face and say the word 'guvnah!' like it means something. It's also a chance to remind people that chimney sweeps wore awesome hats. (See festival participant and lovechild of Mary Poppins and Bert, above). Take note, hipsters and Ashlee Simpson. The top hat is the new fedora.Princess Diana's Childhood Albums for Sale (she was a Dylan Fan)

An auction site has just listed a collection of albums belonging to Princess Di in her younger years. Among those on the sale altogether, are the 1976 Dylan album, Paul Simon's Still Crazy After All These Years, The Eagles Greatest Hits, John Denver's Rocky Mountain High and a personal favorite: the soundtrack to Romeo and Juliet, the sexy 60's Zeffirelli version.
Before the blue sapphire ringand the couture gowns, these were Diana's prized possessions, as proven by her "Property of" signature scrawled on the front and back sides of the album covers. "It was custom for the Spencer children to put first names on records to make it clear which record belonged to which child," according to DJ Paul Gambaccini, Diana's official record collection archivist.
It's been a long road from Di's childhood home to the online auction where the records are posted now. Shortly after her death,So This Happened...Kids Are All 'Remind Me Why We're Here Again?'

Nine kids, two adults and 30 discarded Bachelor roses recreated a scene from "Beauty and the Beast" at a London hotel.
