Kate Will and Lupo: one big happy family. (US Weekly)The newest member of the royal family has been named. All hail Lupo, the 3-month-old Cocker Spaniel, Kate Middleton and her husband Prince William adopted a few months back. The puppy was part of a litter bred by Middleton's mom, Carole.
Read more about Kate and Will's favorite breed.
Like much of Kate and Will's personal life, the puppy's name remained under wraps for some time.
"He is a private pet and they do not want his name to be made public although the couple are happy to confirm that they do, indeed, have a new dog," a spokesman at St. James's Palace told the Daily Mail.
But during a visit to an Oxford elementary school this week, Middleton let Lupo's name slip to a classroom full of kids. Before you could say "doggy steps," the pet was making international headlines.
It's not exactly royal baby news, but with the couple reportedly taking their time on the road to parenthood, Lupo's introduction is like a soft launch. If the dog's name makes worldwide news, the

Paltrow gets behind frozen food for a price.
Gwyneth Paltrow "would rather die" than let her kids eat a cup-a-soup, but she's happy to hawk processed food for a price.
The actress and cookbook author is the new spokesperson for SPAR Veggie, an Austrian a frozen food brand. A tipster familiar with the company, described it to the blog Videogum, this way: "In terms of quality, Spar is the equivalent of a convenience store attached to a gas station. You might buy gum there, but you wouldn't buy Spar-brand gum, or Spar-brand anything for that matter."
It's not unusual for a Hollywood superstar to advertise international products they wouldn't stand behind in the States. But Paltrow is particularly outspoken when it comes to fresh food. She's extolled the virtues of juice fasts, organic colonics and backyard wood-burning pizza ovens worth several thousand dollars. She's compared eating processed cheese to smoking crack and banned soda and McDonald's from ever crossing her kids' lips.
Still, the honchos at SPAR

Zelda Kaplan is carried off as the show goes on. (AP)Read More »from Woman Dies, Runway Show Goes On. Fashion's Strange Reaction to Zelda Kaplan's Death
House music fist-pumped on. Models kept their pace. And only a portion of the front row seemed to notice when an elderly woman was limply carried out of the show by two men. A few snapped photos on their camera phones.
New York Fashion Week ended tragically when 95-year-old socialite Zelda Kaplan collapsed and later died during Joanna Mastroianni's runway show at Lincoln Center Wednesday. Kaplan was a downtown New York staple, who spent half her life as a suburban housewife, before becoming a fashion muse and designer well into her twilight years. Once pegged the city's oldest club kid, posing with Kaplan at parties and fashion shows was a bit of a coup.

But few seemed too concerned when she left the building. Two doctors who happened to be at the show attempted to resuscitate to her as she "flopped over" onto the lap of fashion writer Ruth Finley. At that point, the show was just beginning and it didn't occur to anyone to stop it.

(ThinkStock Photos)If you can't say that on television, than you shouldn't say it in class. That's the gist of a new bill proposed by a conservative Arizona lawmaker, Lori Klein. If she gets her way, teachers will be penalized for cursing in front of students.
A slip-up could result in suspension, docked pay, and, even job loss.
While most school officials wouldn't advocate cursing in front of kids, it happens. And the definition and use of an offending word isn't always clear-cut.
"Arizona's clean-speech-for-teachers act is not likely to survive a constitutional test if it is enacted," Dennis Baron, a Linguistics and English professor at the University of Illinois, writes on his personal blog. "But even without the statute, the state's teachers still won't be able to explore with their students the implications of Caliban's provocative claim about language and cursing."
From The Tempest to Huck Finn, bad words surface throughout the cannon of English literature. How will teachers work through
If you wear this head to your kid's school, give a heads up to teachers. Okay?Pop quiz: Surprising your child in class by showing up in a Mickey Mouse costume makes you a) a good parent or b) a demented security threat.Read More »from Mom's Mickey Mouse School Surprise Backfires
"Option B!" exclaimed an Ohio elementary school on Tuesday, after the strangest series of events took place outside the mind of a 'Three's Company' writer.
It all started innocently enough when the school invited parents to join their kids for a classroom Valentine's party. Then one mom had to go and do the thing where you parade around in a creepy costume and force adults to try to remain calm.
While the unidentified mom followed standard school procedure by signing in as a visitor, she decided not to fill teachers in on her plan to dress as Mickey for her daughter's class. She did a secret quick-change in the bathroom and put on what must have been a theme park-grade costume because nobody had any idea who she was when she barged into the room full of kids. Not a great start, right there. After a few minutes of spreading joy to small people
It's been a bad seven days for a handful of models at New York Fashion Week. At least six designer shows were overshadowed by slips, trips and spills on the catwalk. Naeem Khan, Richard Chai and Y-3 and all featured surprise mis-steps. But the biggest falls caught on film, were on Dennis Basso's runway and at Heart Truth's Red Dress Collection celebrity show, where both Christie Brinkley and Rose McGowan lost their footing.
The rule of the thumb is to pick yourself up, laugh it off and cry later, but some models have started avoiding the risk altogether.
A few years back, three women turned down the chance to walk in GaGa's Armadillo platforms at an Alexander McQueen show. The likelihood of tumbling in those oddly shapped 10-inch heels wasn't worth the risk to model Abbey Ley Kershaw. "Hopefully [heel height] is going to come back down soon because health and safety regulations have got to come into play at someRead More »from Models Fall Through Fashion Week. Dangerous Job?

Logan Warren, a 22-year-old tech entrepreneur and student, can't afford to drink at the coffee chain daily. "At the rate I consume coffee, I'd be a pauper in a month," the Texas-based college student tells Shine.
So when he landed a coupon for a free drink, of any size with any additional add-ons, for One man. One coupon. Two baristas and 31 ounces of imagination. That's what it took to create the most expensive his birthday (a company gift if you sign up for their rewards program), he took it as a personal challenge. What's the biggest, priciest Starbucks drink money can buy?
It all starts with a Trenta, the super-sized coffee cup introduced by the company last May.
When Starbucks announced the 31-ounce option, the reaction was largely dismay. Consumerist's bloggers discovered it was larger in size than the average human stomach. Esquire writer Todd Carmichael said the concept alone made him "shudder." But

Priceless. That's how British photographer Tom Robinson describes his boss's expression after hearing Robinson was having a baby. It was then that Robinson decided to capture reactions from friends and family members the moment he told them his good news.
Robinson swears each shot was snapped seconds after sharing his future plans, and not one of them was staged. His favorite reaction came from his own parents who had been nudging the couple to ante up some grandchildren.
When Robinson's little girl, Matilda, finally arrived last year, she provided endless photo opportunities all her own. A family portrait series from the feet down, featuring mom, dad and baby, is the latest project. But Robinson tells Shine, his "I'm going to be a dad" series will come full circle when he eventually shows Matilda theRead More »from The New Pre-baby Photo Album? Belize looks a lot like Boca RatonRead More »from Bachelor Recap: Week 7 features celebrity guest star Conch Shell
Happy Valentine's Day, fellow Bachelorettes! This week we're diving into the native culture of Belize. Ben says he's really happy he's in this most natural environment because he can really reflect on where's he's been. Like for example: the pool in Panama wasn't nearly this curvy and in L.A. it's just a rectangle.
Don't focus on the flip-flops, but the fact that Ben can tie a knot.
The editors really want us to know that Ben is a solo adventurer who drives his own boat and parks it like so. No help at all. Okay?
It's tank top and scarf weather in Belize
This week, the week before hometown dates mind you, is a little different. No one's getting kicked off until the end and everyone's going out with Ben. But only one person is riding on a helicopter...big whoop.
DATE 1: Lindzi
Still crazy after all these helicopter rides.
Ben's ridden in a lot of helicopters with a lot of girls, if you catch my drift. But Lindzi is the first one who's "taken the leap of faith" and jumped out of one with him.
This is a dumb idea, kids.
It's not long after this that conch shells start to creep into our psyche.
See those shells? Nobody throw them away.
The date's going pretty well, but it sure could use some flashbacks
Bobbi Kristina Brown's grief over her mother's death has become public fodder.(Getty Images)Mourning the loss of a parent in the public eye is a struggle all its own. Sadly, Whitney Houston's daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, is facing it head on.
Just as fans learned of Houston's tragic death, the singer's 19-year-old daughter was rushed to the hospital after an emotional breakdown. She returned to the hospital a second time over the devastating weekend.
"My daughter Bobbi Kristina is doing much better," her father, Bobby Brown, said in a written statement. "We continue to provide love and support to Bobbi-Kristina. She is dealing with the tragedy of her mother's death and would prefer to do it outside of the public eye. I ask again that our privacy be respected."
