A couple of months ago I was chatting with a friend of mine about her new boyfriend, who she was - and still is - so blatantly madly in love with. The difference between then and now is that back then she refused to even utter those three little words and just tell him, "I love you."
I couldn't understand why she was waiting to tell him something she so obviously felt, but every time I asked, she'd just say, "I'm waiting for him to say it first." And sure enough, a few weeks later, he professed his love. Granted, it was at 1 AM at a dive bar on the upper east side, but that doesn't make it any less special.

Tom Ford is many things (designer, director, heartthrob), but subtle isn't one of them. In a recent interview in Time Out Hong Kong, Ford made a not too hard to decipher dig at one Miss Rachel Zoe.
The man says: "If I have children, no one will know about it until the child is born. And no one will ever see the child because I certainly wouldn't use it as a press tool. If I have a child, you'll see and notice that I had a child. Maybe you'll see it when it's 18, but I will keep it out of the spotlight. I wouldn't use it as a press tool, as some people I know have recently."
Oh snap! Zoe has been posing on the red carpet and parading her bebe in Missoni. But that little one is so cute and chic! Chalk it up to another designer talking smack? Or does Ford have a point?
On another note, I kind of wish I was Tom Ford's baby.

Sometimes I randomly, and possible inadvertently check out other girls on the street. I just really love to see what other people opt to rock on a daily basis. It's truly interesting what other girls choose to spend their money on, who actually bought those sick Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony shoes, seeing Proenza Schouler get worn on the subway, watching the neon trend come to life.

Apparently nightlife, sports franchises, career opportunities and girls are the determining factors of an ideal city for Maxim guys. According to the men's mag, Atlanta ranked # 1, with highest hot girl score, followed by Boston andLos Angeles in the #2 and #3 spots respectively. So at first I thought the criteria Maxim used to determine the best cities in America was a little on the ridiculous side, but if you really think about it, it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to say that women would base a lot of their geographical choices on the same factors - well, minus the sports (at least for me). The house of Versace has attracted a ton of attention lately-being that Lady Gaga has dressed exclusively in pieces from the label for the past few weeks and in her latest music video for "Edge of Glory"-and if you weren't too familiar with the label already, you certainly will be come fall.
On the heels of last year's insanely successful Lanvin collaboration, national retailerH&M is teaming up with Versace for a collection of men's, women's and home pieces that will hit stores on November 19th.
Donatella Versace, the brand's creative director, will design the collection, which will pay homage to the heritage of the legendary fashion house. You can expect the same glamour that the label is famous for in the form of leather, wild prints and vibrant color, all at H&M prices. Donatella debuted the first look from the H&M line yesterday, when she walked the runway after the Versace men's show in Milan.

Contrary to popular belief, the word "light" should be a warning sign to anyone looking to lose weight. There's a major difference between a naturally low-fat diet and a low-fat diet based on popular fat substitutes like olestra, which can commonly be found in light chips like fat-free Pringles and light Lays.
In a recent study, Dr. Susan E. Swithers and fellow Purdue University researchers found that eating foods made with fat substitutes not only doesn't help weight loss, but it actually contributes to weight gain. Rats in the study were fed either a high-fat or low-fat diet, but some of the rats were also fed low-calorie Pringles Light chips. The latter olestra group ate more food and gained more weight than any other group.

I like to think of myself as a relatively healthy person. I go to the gym, do yoga and I even actually enjoy a good run, believe it or not. But when it comes to ab work, there's nothing I hate more than crunches. I get it - to get the flat abs, a la Gisele, you need to put in the work and strengthen that core. And while I'm reluctantly willing to suck it up and suffer for the sake of a firm tummy, I have very little patience for the amount of time it actually takes to start seeing results.
