Contrary to popular belief, women are the ones who get bored in a marriage, not men. This is according to a new study on relational boredom in the journal Personal Relationships. Interestingly enough, the same doesn't go for non-married dating couples. In those instances, unmarried men are the ones who check out of the relationship first.
Study: Do Girls Like Boys Who Look Like Girls?
One theory is that unmarried women "might experience less boredom because they can more readily extricate themselves from a relationship once boredom sets in," says Unniversity of Winnipeg psychologist Beverley Fehr. But once you tie the knot, that readily available escape route all but disappears, which I can imagine causes some high levels of stress and anxiety - a feeling I'm all too familiar with.
The 88 couples in the study were asked about their relationships, and the answers included almost 70 varying descriptions of

Part of why I love fashion and magazines so much is the fantasy life they project. Vittoria Puccini is on the newest cover of Elle Italia, shot Dirk Vogel, above the headline, "Belle al Naturale" or natural beauty. Yes, this model is inarguably beautiful, but as the obsessive kids on the Fashion Spot Forums are saying, "it looks like her Facebook photo."
Kate Moss Gets 5 May Covers: The Super Reigns
I'd argue most girls have more makeup on than this for the FB profile pic. I know it's a bit of a grainy image, but she looks kind of ruddy and her hair is quite lifeless. I like my covers with Rihanna in red lipstick and Kate Moss mostly naked.
Do you like seeing the real thing or do you prefer your magazines with a little Photoshop and mascara?

Okay so not to toot my own horn or anything, but beep beep. Thanks to my mother's side of the family, I was genetically blessed with a strong set of pearly whites. While I'm part of the lucky crowd that doesn't need to go for the teeth-whitening kits and procedures, that's far from the case for many Americans.
Teeth Whitening at Home: Get a Megawatt Celeb Smile
According to the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), Americans spend over $1.4 billion a year on teeth whitening. That figure doesn't even account for professional treatments, which are expected to rise in the upcoming years. AACD researchers also found that 99.7% of Americans believe a smile is an important social asset and 74% think an unattractive smile can hurt a person's chances for career success.

Back when I was a young, homely and impressionable teen, I followed nearly every piece of beauty advice I heard or read. Though I've heard some promising tricks that come in handy when I'm in a pickle - like using baby powder as dry shampoo, or toilet cover seats as oil blotting pads - I've become well acquainted (more so than I'd like to admit) with a few (usually unsolicited) "tricks" that are as misguided as they are imprudent.
Common Beauty Errors You Might Be Making
Though it comes as no surprise that you shouldn't pick at your skin, skimp on the SPF or fall asleep in a full face of makeup, it doesn't take much more than a little common sense to know when you're being sold terrible advice. Because we know you're curious, we've rounded up some of the worst tips and tricks we've heard over the years.

There comes a time in every relationship that you find yourself wondering whether or not you can see this "thing" turning into a long-term sort of deal. Presumably, when a girl decides she's going to start auditioning for roles in TV and film, she's taking the risk of catapulting to fame and thereby having her hair, nails, clothes, shoes, accessories, friends and sexual partners judged by the masses on a daily basis. If she's lucky, people will like her and want to be like her and dress like her and then she can get a lucrative fashion line and finally get off that CW show. Kate Middleton never technically made this tacit agreement with the media hungry public at large, but it's her life now anyway! Since it's dubious that the future queen will strike a deal with Macy's for a collaboration, it's up to other people to profit from her! And they will, oh they will. Below are just a few of the ways...

I'll be the first to admit that there are a couple of double standards that I know aren't necessarily fair, but I'd still like to keep around. For example, I preach a lot about how a guy should pay for the majority of things during a courtship. Sure, you can throw down for a couple of movie tickets once in a while, but it's nice to be wooed in the beginning. That's just a personal rule of mine, but to each his own.
